  A question for those churchgoing ones...forgiveness

  this is in reference to the comments that kgb made on the thread i started yesterday about the molester who was crushed underneath a car.. http://www.jehovahs-witness.com/6/54218/1.ashx.

  he talked of forgiveness of murderers, molesters, rapists, etc.

  i know that many churchgoes feel the same way about this.. my question is, if god can forgive murderers, rapists, etc., then what about those who don't believe in god, who don't have 'faith'?

  The Holy Spirit... and DOES God Speak to Us?

  last night when i went to bed, my heart was quite heavy: there were things on it, in it, thereon... whatever... that i could not reconcile: i know what i have heard from my lord - how do i get others who love him to grasp that such a thing is possible, to understand that they do not have to take my word for it, but can ask him, for i am nothing more than a good-for-nothing-slave... and have "sold" myself into the "service" of the one who "bought" me... so that it is his will that i must obey... whether earthling man hears... or refrain?

  this is not new "fight" with me, let me tell you: i know exactly how jeremiah felt, for i cannot count the times my heart has felt the same thing.

  Yes, exactly. I need it! Sometimes when I am in the middle of a sentence I feel the coaxing and stop right in the middle. lol. When I consider what the coaxing was for...I realize that I was either about to or was in the middle of saying something that I would later regret in some way. Ahhh, controllong the tongue!! Oh, how I need that at times. There is no fear in conviction anymore for me. It is what the Holy Spirit does after all. love, dj

  Why I think the jw's are a cult and not a religion

  fortunately, it is not the case with me but this deal about parents not talking to their children who have been disfellowshipped is horrid.

  it is bad enough for those who have been disfellowshipped, but to have their own family turn on them?

  as such, i think the jw's are a cult as they separate families.

  I hope you are well! I know that you didn't ask my opinion but I have one about this too. IMO, the wt is deceitful in the handling of this doctrine by allowing certain fractions and omitting the fact that many identical twins share thier blood in utero, etc.. They allow members to feed off of false information and they deviate from truth. The fact that they have slowly over many years allowed new fractions proves that they are deceitful because many have died and there is no apology just new light. Most jw's don;t even know about fractions. they simply believe they are not allowed blood transfusions....it is usually only when there is a crisis when they get the 4 page allowance/forbiddence papers! It is all deceit and hypocrisy and very cultish imo. Who asked me...lol...love, dj

  Hi noko,

  I view the Holy Spirit as Jesus and the Father. Having "Christ in you" to me, seems to be the same as having the Spirit inus, etc... There is an undeniable Oneness. Yet, Jesus did speak of the Spirit of Truth as coming after He left as another helper. He was showing separateness, yet they are One. The teaching of the trinity covers it all for me. Love, dj

  I find it strange that you would be sorry that he wants to forgive. Sometimes forgiving is the path to healing and letting go of it. What good would it do to hold onto the anger and pain? It is freedom from that. Go ask Thunder....

  Stink,
  You are entitled to be a debater if that makes you happy. It is good though to try to remember that not everyone is like you. Competetion is not in everyone's blood. I have a sister who reminds me of you...she is a jw and she gets her kicks off of trying to get me to debate with her. She views me as weak because I don't debate her...nothing is further from the truth. I am simply not interested, some people aren't like you.

  You know nothing about KGB. HE, is not a she..... and he was molested as a child and has forgiven his molester. Think about that will you?
