Blood fractions insert covered in tonight's service meeting
by becca1 infor those still "in", how did this part go over in your congregation?
we actually had a brother raise his hand and comment that he could not explain to a doctor why we allow fractions and obey the command of levitucus to pour blood out on the ground.
i wonder how many others felt the same but did not have the never to comment openly?

You mentioned the room not having much light. Maybe you could hang a mirror instead. Especially if it picks up the reflection form a window. A grouping of small mirrors is an intersting alternative also. Don't forget to add texture to the room for interest( wicker, wrought iron, fabric, etc.) Group decorative items in odd numbers. Repeat colors and textures at least three times around the room for continuity. Wish I could come help you, I love decorating!

sending your kids to public school furthers the mission of the UN
by rebel8 ini was re-reading the un's universal declaration of human rightsfor another thread and came across this interesting tidbit:.
article 26.
(1) everyone has the right to education.

In my experience JW's use homeschooling to "protect" their children from the "world", Many of these parents have little education themselves and simply supply their children with textbooks and workbooks for them to teach themselves. They do nothing to further their children's skills or experiences (ex. trips to museums, library, etc.) They give no thought to rounding out the experience with regular exercise or sports. They give no thought to proper social skills. They aim is to grow another JW not to educate a child.

Would you want to know?
by lola28 inlets say there is chance you have an illness and you can take a few blood tests that will tell you if you do in fact have this illness, would you want to know ?
keep in mind that there is no treatment and nothing you can do to "make it better", what would you do?
would you like to know or would you rather not find out ?.

Impulsive buyer....What was I thinking?~?
by purplesofa inyesterday, i was in wal-mart, taking care of some business at the service desk, while i was there, i thought......i'll just browse a bit and then get home.. before i knew it i was at the check-out with a hotdog griller...!!!!!!
you know it looks kinda like the ones at gas stations, movie theatres, ball parks!!
i barely eat 10 hot dogs a year and thats just when i don't have another choice.. i have never bought anything stupider that i can remember.. forty bucks spent........maybe five bucks back after i keep it five years.......selling it in a gargae sale.. tell us.....do you buy things impulsively and what was your biggest mistake?.
