Caine: I'm glad you are geting your friends and family back. I'm worried about your depresion though. Have you seen a doctor? Are you on any meds? There is no shame in getting help from the right source. You would see a doctor for any other illness, and yes depression is an illness. Don't try to put a band-aid on a gapping, life threatning wound.
Chopper: Welcome aboard!

My husband's awful parents in AZ.
by Pioneer Spit...oh, i mean Spirit inmy husband is a super dude, kind sweet, smart, in general he's just the best.
his paternal grandfather died last week on valentine's day at the age of 92. my husb was as close to his gp as he is to his father, which is silly according to the jws, as gp was catholic and my husb's dad is a jw, he should have been an ideal father.. aside from the religious tension, my husband's parents are completely awful to him: say stupid things to him-he asked if he could borrow gp's car for a day or so, they said 'ooooh but you have to be careful and not wreck it' (he's never had an at-fault accident)to which he said "nevermind about the car", accuse him of threatening them (take words like: 'this is the last time we'll see each other' to mean that he's about to murder them) and spread bs about him to our ex friends in the cong in phx.
plus, the father was an abusive bastard -physically and mentally - to my husband and his sister when they were kids; the mother, she's just an ignorant fool of a person.

My Journey-Preparation for a "Theocratic Career"
by truthsetsonefree inas a child, at the tender age of four yes four, i was made a publisher.
i remember robert mills, the congregation servant as pos were titled in those days coming over, stooping down to my level, shaking my hand and congratulating me.
at the tender age of six i was taught by mom that as a future brother i would need to handle responsibilities in the congregation.

I had read the first one but somehow missed the second. To put it bluntly, your mom is one sick puppy. I'm sooo sorry for what you endured. I'm glad you are here and I enjoy your posts.

Did You Ever Do This?
by Outaservice init seemed that running my business and all the meetings at the hall, plus my social life was taking a toll on my time.
there was a brother at the hall, that was married, and a very good public speaker (used to be a radio announcer) .
anyhow, he was always short on cash and was agreeable to my offer as follows............... if i was assigned to give a talk out of town at a neighboring congregation, i would pay him to take the talk for me as a substitute (at the time $25.00) and then i would stay home that day.. i gave him $10 for an instruction talk, $10 for a service meeting part, and $5 for anything else such as reading the watchtower sundays or a bible reading, etc.. it was a 'win, win' situation for both of us.. outaservice (now out of money).

Chris said he was sorry he did not sing like Il Divo or Teletubbies. He was poking fun at Simon who poo pooed his performance.

Il Divo and Teletubbies are Simon's productions.
