  KInda scary, but I think you are probably right. Of course, the dubs would say that's because they are God's org. and are guided by HS, therefore, the individuals of the GB at any given time do not really count. They will always be as long as Jehovah wants them to be.

  Under the subheading, What Is a Lie? it reads:"Every lie is an untruth, but not every untruth is a lie. Why not? A dictionary defines a lie as "an assertion of something known or believed by the speaker to be untrue with intent to decieve." Yes, lying includes the intention to deceive someone. Hence, to speak an untruth unwittingly - such as giving someone incorrect facts or figures by mistake - is not the same as to tell a lie."

  Then in larger bold print it repeats: Every lie is an untruth, but not every untruth is a lie

  OK, I agree that if you say something incorrectly, while believing it to be true, you were not lying, you are simply mistaken. However, what is this "dictionary" they get their qoute from? And why highlight and repeat the above statement? Why beat around the bush on the matter of truth? Why do they have to split hairs on this issue? Isn't condemming lying, like the Bible does enough? Who are they giving an "out" to? The readers? Themselves? Am I getting paranoid?

  my grandmother didn't, my mother didn't and neither did i. so how does this continue in this advanced day and age?.

  i saw the results of women getting beat attending the hall.

  My mother. She doesn't even tell my dad to keep his voice down when he says goofy things under his breath during the meetings (that everyone can hear) because "she's in submission".

  i know that sounds cruel, but all they have done is try to hurt me and i am going on.

  My brother invited me in!

  i decided to surprise visit my brother (we used to be extremely close) on nyeve.

  i brought a present for his kids which they were excited about.

  i stood at the door a little uncomfortable for a few minutes and then i said,"dude, i just drove all the way up here on my motorcycle in the cold, aren't you going to ask me in?
