A call to all NF's and NT's (Myers Briggs)
by becca1 inok, some of you may be sick of these personality type issues but here goes.. i've noticed that whenever these topics come up, nf's and nt's come out of the woodwork.
in case you didn't know, these are the minority of the geneal population.
in a random setting you will have only 2 to 5% of n's (infp, infj, enfp, enfj, intp, intj, entp, entj).

Hi again people! I'm so glad you liked my thread! We need to hang out in here more often! So, do you think being N's made is more prone to detecting BS and that's why we're all here?

Why don't YOU believe anymore?
by Crumpet insomeone on another site was asking "what if they are right?
" which made me think about why i know that they are not and i wondered what was your epiphany or road to damascus moment or moments that just made you realise - hey i've been led up the garden path here!.
here was my response but i really think a list of reasons on one thread for easy reference for newbies would be good.

The UN issue was the catalyst. Seeing the hypocrisy involved in that issue allowed me to research other things that had troubled me but I was waitng on Jehovah to clear up.

OK, some of you may be sick of these personality type issues but here goes.
I've noticed that whenever these topics come up, NF's and NT's come out of the woodwork. In case you didn't know, these are the minority of the geneal population. In a random setting you will have only 2 to 5% of N's (INFP, INFJ,ENFP,ENFJ,INTP,INTJ,ENTP,ENTJ). So, does that fact that we seem to have many of us on JWD mean anything? Is it just that "N's" respomd to these topics more than other types, or are there really alot of us here?
Are "N's" more jaded, less apt to follow the norm, more apt to resist what feels "wrong", less concerned with being singled out (since we are already "weird"), not afraid to "go out on a limb"???.... Does our intuition help us to "smell a rat"?
What do you guys think?
If anyone wants to take a test there are many good ones online. One of my favs is: Humanmetrics.com.
Disclaimer: I am in no way saying "N's" are better than other types. But we are the minority, and on the "quirky" side, so we tend to stick out.

cult personality type?
by Mysterious inanother thing that has been intriguing me lately is the idea that cults can help sway people towards a certain personality type more towards a judging personality for example, or becoming more feeling rather than thinking.
i know my meyers-briggs type changed from istj when i was a jw to intj after i left.
i was curious if anyone else was aware of a similar shift in their actual measurable personality traits..maybe putting on the new personality is literal?

It feels like emotional blackmail............
by troubled mind ini am probably being ultra sensitive at this time ......., but i am recieving sympathy cards from our old witness friends , and they are saying things such as : " when she wakes up she'll be looking for you .
" and " we also must be resolved to fight to finish loyal to jehovah even at great cost and pain.
she will be waiting eagerly to see her family after her resurrection.

Some people are insensitive others just tacky. Either way, be glad you are no longer that ignorant.
