Thank you Jehovah for answered prayers
by Annie Over inwhen i got off for lunch today i decided to go to the walmart deli and get something to eat.
it is a huge store, groceries, a bakery, mc donalds, a bank , eye center, beauty shop, a great deli, and a huge garden center.
i had taken back a 80 gig hard drive dvd recorder ( i couldn't figure out how to hook up <smile> and had received 238.00. i picked up a couple of things in the store then went to the deli.

Shunning
by choosing life ini was reading stories about various ones on the board who are being shunned by loved ones.
i am officially being shunned as of today by my daughter because i refuse to shun her.
she was just disfellowshipped.how do you get past the hurt?

I am really sorry to hear this.Well done for not shunning your daughter .If she wont talk can you send a letter?Explain that you are always there for her etc. maybe she is doing it because she feels she deserves it for leaving, after all it does screw your mind up.I don't personally understand why close family shun each other as its not a wts teaching is it?There are families in my congregation that don't shun family that's left, perhaps it depends on the elders/country. Hang in there this may just be an extreme reaction to all that is happening to her, but it must be terribly hard for you but if you always keep the door open and let her know that she may come round.

When do you put a dog down?
by katiekitten inim at my dads house at the moment and they have this dog thats 14 years old, and apparently this brand of dog has an average life expectancy of 10, so shes had a good innings.. now im not a dog owner, so its pretty easy for me to say i think they should put the dog down.
my dads wife is very sentimental about the dog.
i would say she was very attached to it, but for all her sentimentality, she has never walked the dog (its always been my dad) and she is not the one who gets up in the night with a mop and bucket - that'd be dad too.

hi kk i know its hard to reason with them on this, to them its their baby substitute and people get so attached they can't bear to let go.I used to work at a vets and i know if you can get them to agree just to get the vet to look it over and get his opinion, he'll give them an honest answer and that way its coming from a professional, they would probably take notice of that.Really though it sounds like quality of life gone now is it still eating?I know they used to say if they are in pain and not eating then its time to try and let go.I hope you can all work it out
