We've lost so much.

i normally come on here, and am strong and very vocal in me distain for the borg and all the things it entailed.

just feeling a bit sad for myself tonight and wanted to tell my friends.. my birthday was yesterday.

Oh Shell i've been upset this week over my 5yr old nephew, his middle names Leon. We are trying to get things sorted with his parents but its not easy. At least i can see him in the school playground and my 3yr old niece so i can see they're alive and well but it breaks my heart - i miss none of the others but i used to look after him alot and he always loved coming to our house i feel so sad for him and the life he will have. Sending you a big hug hun.

hi well following on from my previous post about probs with sis and bro in law and how they haven't spoken for ages,hubs wentround today to have it out and say do they want to know me or not (i am d'ad but she has contact with her d'ad family) and she now says she does as we're family and that i've been ignoring her!

) anyway she has agredd for us all to meet and discuss what sort of part we will have if any in each others lives, because our two boys are the same age and in the same class and we don't want them to suffer.

I know there was a watchtower mag last year that mentioned disassociated ones i chucked all my mags out but i remember it was about september/october time? It was esp sickening as it centred on what the jws would be feeling if a family member d'ad and to follow what the elders etc said. Has anyone got a link for it please?I know it's cheeky to ask wish i'd kept my copy now but at the time i just wanted rid of all that jw rubbish!Thanks

Yes but the trouble is with family, particularly in relation to hubby's mother and her husband they will not speak to me or even come to our house to see the kiddies, but they say it is not shunning as they can contact us in case of an emergency, eg someone in the family dies!

here's the scenario: you buy an item and it's on sale for 10% off the original price.

a new cashier charges you, instead of 10% off, 10 cents!

this happened to a woman who bought a leather coat among other things and when she reviewed her slip she knew absolutely that the new cashier messed up.

We once bought a bedroom furniture set and when hubby had paid he realised they had not charged for a £60 item!He was all for running off with it but i made him go back and pay.

Recently at a garden centre they forgot to charge for about £30 worth of items (girl on till wasn't the brightest spark) but i didn't notice til i got home and saw things missing off the receipt. I was so worried that i rang straight away and told them and paid the next day cos i thought if i didn't i'd never feel able to shop there again!

Her hubby said to him though that there's a big difference between Jehovah kicking you out and you doing it yourself (though initially she told me if i d'ad it wasn't so bad so she wouldn't cut me off). Then she said to my hubs to remember that i new what the consequences of my d'aing would be (like that makes it any easier, have they no idea how incredibly hard it was for me?!)and that they are not really meant to associate.

I was just wondering if you could tell me the best sites to go to where you can look up the scriptures they use to say you shouldn't associate with an ex witness, i found one once and it went through them all and then explained the scriptures in their context but i can't remember where it was. I just want some ammo to use should they start bringing all that up.
