by purplesofa ini kinda did a terry yesterday, i just quit my job, with two weeks notice, but without having another job lined up.. i did go on an interview yesterday at a furniture design store in little rock.. i posted this april 7th of 05 at this board.....topic wt and awakes.

this is a fantastic site with some really cool people (i feel like i know some of you already).
circumstances forced me to start my fade about 10 years ago, and pretty much start my life from scratch (socially, at least - family have always been great).

Well what a hypocrite!
by dobbie incan't believe it, i have been shunned by my hubbys family for d'aing and no other 'offence', and one of the members who i have mentioned before told me if i left they'd still speak etc and then went back on it, turns out they have been cheating with different partners(men and women) for over two years, yet only last week this person told my hubby i'd done wrong by leaving and so they couldn't associate with me!
also she is staying with her jw best friend despite this and none of her friends are shunning her but are really pally!, if she doesn't get d'fd for this when she's admitted it could happen again i will go mad!
sorry but i think this is such a joke, all this time and making me feel bad and this person is up to this behind her hubbys and kids backs!

Exactly dedpoet! I said to hubby that i wanted to be honest and not live a lie etc which was why i had to leave it, whereas she's been acting the good christian all this time whilst actually living this double life! One good thing though is that hubby said if they let her stay after she's said it could happen again (so she's obviously not sorry for it) he will be disgusted and will send his d'a letter in! Here's hoping!

Today is my 10th Anniversary and my birthday
by jwfacts inbeing a jw that had never celebrated a birthday i thought i would get around the system and get married on my birthday.
today i turn 38 and celebrate my 10th anniversary.
to top it all off, in a few days my wife and i will be having an ultrasound and finding out the sex of my first baby.

Some JW parents don't deserve to be parents!!!
by Es inat least mine don't anyway.. ive been thinking of there behaviour towards me for the last few weeks, and im just so over them being my parents.
when mike and i went to the hosp on wed night after my nan had passed away, i tried to comfort my mum, she hardly wanted me to touch her.
i didnt even look at my dad for the first half n hour we were there.

Sorry for the way your'e treated by them Es, you are a great daughter/mum etc and i think it took you real love and courage to go up to them and kiss them like that. What about just leaving things for a bit and then see if you still feel the same way in a while, you're so upset over your dear nan passing away right now, though i also fully understand why your'e full of pain and hurt at them. I couldn't imagine my mum like this and i think you are a great person to cope with it all like you do. Hugs xx

Official protocol for DF family member
by ellderwho inwhile talking with mom(active dub) this morning, i said " aren't you glad i was never baptised so you can still talk and have a mother son relationship'?
her response shocked me in that she said it wouldn't matter your still my son.
and she would be able to talk with me, just cannot discuss the jw religion.. i was always under the impression you would be shunned for the rest of your life, unless you went through the chain of command for reinstatement.
