careful who you send text messages to!
by dobbie ini've done it again!i've sent the wrong text on my phone to totally the wrong person - only this time it was about my sis in law - and i sent it to her by mistakelol!
shes shuning me in public and for the fourth day my sons been really upset cos he wants to play with his cousin after school(hes in the same class), so i get upset and texted my hubby to ask her whats going on cos i'm fed up with it all and its not fair on the boys etc and can they play together ornot cos i need to know what to tell my son etc, and who do i send it to but her!oops hasnt replied either so i think i may have done it now!
does anyone else do this or am i the only dippy one when it comes to phone messaging?

Daystar i would have gone nuts if that was me what a shock!
I still haven't heard back from her, she will be busy telling the other jws tomorrow about it tomorrow!I have now wiped off ALL the jw phone numbers i still had on there - not like i'll be needing them anyway! LOL glad i'm not the only one who gets caught out!

At least you found someone in - i never did! I hated the meeting beforehand cos you were expected to talk about what we were going to offer and nine times out of ten i hadn't bother to even look at the mags!I preferred doing other peoples RVs cos then i could just stand there and look like i knew what the other witness was talking about to the householder!

How do I deal with my hatred?
by nicolaou ini know that thousands of you have gone through the same thing i'm facing but right now it doesn't help.
i know that some of you have faced much worse - losing family through the blood issue or having to deal with abuse and i know that in comparison my problems may seem not so severe but as bad as it sounds knowing all that just doesn't matter right now.. it started yesterday and there's no stopping it, the official shunning.
one member of the family right now will see the month end with me losing my sisters, brother and my mum.. i love them and i know that in a sense they are victims too but i just cannot reach them.

I really feel for you and just want you to know you ain't alone!My shunning started last month- the first week i wept all day every day.The second week i got VERY angry, i couldn't talk about it without shouting and awearing and not acting like how i usually am at all, this week the fourth i think,i've been able to laugh about it a tiny bit, though i feel bitter.I try to constantly remind myself that its the WTS i hate not the ones shunning me cos they feel they have to, but it isn't easy when i see them at close range twice a day. Hang in there mate, it must be awful losing your family,(its my husbands lot that are jws but it hurts cos i know it'll come to me not seeing my niece and nephew anymore), but personally i find each week that goes by it seems a tinier bit better to cope with, and i can see that with my husband, he is getting a bit stronger each week about it all. If you want to get the ranting out of your system do it here thats what we are all here for!! Debbie

JW Children and the absence of Christmas

he sat in the back of the car and told me about a little girl from the year above him who has to leave her classroom and sit in his due to christmassy things going on.
my youngster remarked "she doesnt believe in christmas.

Thankfully i wasn't brought up in the borg but i knew i didn't want my child to go through any of this (he started school in september), so i left the jws recently. I was helping out at his school today though, listening to my little lads class rehearsing their songs for their nativity next week, and came across the four jw kids sat by themselves in a classroom and i felt for them, they're only 4 -6yrs. My husband was 11ish when he came in and hated having to go throu;gh it all at school, whereas others say it truly didn't bother them, but maybe they just won't admit it? I'm glad i didn't have to go through it though cos i got picked on enough for being small and quiet as it was!

My First Shunning ...
by exwitless ina former good friend of mine (devout jw still) came into where i work.
i knew she was there, so i went right up to her and said, "hi".
she said "hi" with sort of a sick look on her face, and i said "how are you?".

Sorry you had to go through that ex-w. I'm shunned daily by the mothers at my childs small school, 4 in his -great! But there are two positive things about it that i tell myself - 1 it makes the jw religion look downright BAD to non jws cos they can't believe how ex jw are treated so it puts them off the religion and 2 it certainly makes me extra sure that i'll never step inside a kingdom hall again, those conditional 'friendships' ain't worth anything! So really, they're doing me a favor!
