What is funny about this is that the article "the" appears in both texts, so, if the WT says that "the" is not in Isaiah, why they insert it anyway?

Articles "a" "an" "the"
by Inquisitor incan anyone tell me whether the usage of such articles can be found in the original hebrew or greek writing of the scriptures?.
in this week's book study, the society attempts to distinguish jesus "the first and the last" (rev 1:18) from jehovah "i am the first and i am the last" (isaiah 44:6).
the basis for such a distinction, according to the society is that isaiah quote lacks definite articles before the words "first" and "last".

That's What I'M Talkin' About!
by Farkel incall me a curmudgeon.
there are just some expressions in today's vernacular that are just idiotic, and "that's what i'm talkin' about" is one of these.
it is so ghetto.. several people are saying 'blah, blah, blah, de blah and more de blah..." suddenly, a dimwit in the group hears something that dimwit didn't even mention but happens to like the subject and then dimwit blurts out, "now that is what i'm talkin' about!".

From paragraph 8: Hence, they are not selected from many different religions.
If I'm not wrong, Russell died and many others believing in the cross and some other beliefs that you can get Df'd for if you belive in them right now, so, THAT would make him part of the "different religions" that they are talking about.
I guess that when all that people were resurected and went to heaven, some angel or other annointed that got resurrected first said: "Come on over Russell/others, I will give you a Bible study to show you how things really are, because you were teaching nonsense down there on earth"

I just finished my "Family study", and my mom was soooo confused on this about John talking to a guy that is not yet resurrected, that she said: 'Wait a minute, was Revelation written after1914?"
Damn the GB! because of their speculation my mom is confused and talking nonsense!!

by winnie inif you read my earlier post, you know i received a card in my mailbox inviting us to 'return to jehovah and our family'.
along with this, came the latest 2 wt and awake mags (march i think).. i didn't read them, but my hubby glanced through them out of interest and came across an article with their list of what defines a true christion.. # 1 - love jehovah.
# 2 - donate to the world wide preaching work (!!!!!!!!!).

trumpet blasts of Revelation
by Cellist inwhen they did the "corrections" to the revelation - grand climax book, did they straighten out the order of the trumpets?
i actually never noticed while we were studying the book that a few of the trumpeters were antsy and sounded their trumpets prematurely.
it was a qfr that alerted us to another thing wrong with their interpretation.

Very intersting. Thank you for pointing that out. The Revelation book is full of weirdness.

Thanks Blondie. (I'm I love Blondie, specially "Maria" from their CD "No Exit".
I find this quote from the The Watchtower, May 1, 1934 p. 131; J. F. Rutherford, Jehovah, (Brooklyn, New York: Watchtower, Bible & Tract Society) 1934 p. 191. really interesting (From the link you gave):
"All at the temple will realize that their spiritual food comes to them from their Teachers, Jehovah and Christ Jesus, and not from any man. No one will be so foolish as to conclude that some brother (or brethren) at one time amongst them, and who has died and gone to heaven, is now instructing the saints on earth and directing them as to their work."
And now they say that some annointed are delivering lights to identify the Great Crowd. It seems like that "annointed", whoever he might be, perhaps Rutherford or Russell, or Knorr or Franz, or, or, or is TEACHING.
It's AMAZING how these people behave. Gosh this GB is crazy!
