TO ALL BODIES OF ELDERS
Re: Proper handling of nested magazines
Dear Brothers:
As was previously announced to all congregations, when the Awake! and the public edi-tion of The Watchtower were reduced from 32 to 16 pages with the January 2013 issues, editions in most languages began to be printed and shipped with two copies of each issue nested together. However, it has come to our attention that many publishers are unaware that they are obtaining two copies rather than one individual copy of each magazine, and they are placing with house-holders two copies of the same issue of The Watchtower and two copies of the same issue of the Awake! Therefore, many congregations have quickly run out of the January 2013 issues and are requesting replacement shipments from the branch office.
To prevent any further misunderstanding, we ask that an announcement be made at the next Service Meeting to remind publishers of the proper handling of nested magazines. Please have the brother handling the announcement bring copies of nested magazines on stage and pro-vide a visual demonstration of how the magazines are nested together and how to separate them. He should emphasize that what appears to be one copy of a magazine is actually two copies. Ad-ditionally, the magazine servant should be attentive as publishers pick up magazines at the King-dom Hall and should provide kindly reminders regarding the nested magazines.
Thank you for your continued support of the magazine-distribution arrangement. Please be assured of our warm Christian love and greetings.
usually i read through the study article for the week to see if there are good points of discussion with my family.. when i read this paragraph, i nearly fell off my chair.
this is complete and utter garbage.
i have had discussions with my wife and other family members who also agreed it was complete rubbish.
Splash asked: What if the elders are not in full agreement, who, then, is reflecting Jehovahs point of view?
I reply: The majority wins and the one that can twist more arms!
is it just me, or has anyone else noticed how few scriptures the society uses in publications and talks?.
as the information being force-fed gets more and more juvenile, stupid, easier to understand has anyone else noticed this trend?.
im not just talking about the wash-towel either; the circus oversneer just visited to give his bi-yearly whipping and he barely used scriptures in any of his talks.
I feel the same thing. When you go to their meetings, you don't feel connected to God. Everything is the same, every meeting. Most of the time, they just teach what not to do to get disfellowship, how to live your life, what to think and do. And not do. Nothing more. Sick! And the stupid Q&A that can't not get more stupid. I mean, how much it takes to read something and repeat the same freaking thing that you read as a comment????
this is my personal review of the memorial talk for this year.
take into account that this is a new "outline".
i put "outline" in quotes because.
Tammy,
And I think is not just that night. When you hear the Jw's talk, is like they are not religious. They only speak their lingo ("wt"), calling the so called man-made privileges gifts from God, but nothing of substance.
Others Christians religions, when they speak, at least they repeat more often the "God Bless you" line.
The holy Memorial night turns to a WT ad when they read the famous letters to the people from the GB/FDS/WT inviting them to keep coming to the other meetings.

One thing that I noticed too is that the night of the Memorial is supposed to be the Most sacred of all nights, right? But you don't hear the JW's talking about it. If they do, the only thing you get is: "it as good". It seems that nobody is interested in spiritualty but in serving the GB/WT/FDS wishes. And just carry on.
so this jw friend that got in touch out of the blue a few months ago after 24 years of shunning us agrees that the borg is not keen on university.
it is so difficult to keep to your principles because of all the immorality there according to her.
yes same old story we have been hearing for years.. if that is the case they should be fine with distance learning.
The fanatism that the FDS/WT/GB displays regarding universities, IMO, is for:
a) They want to keep you as stupid as possible, as Xanthippe said. And
b) To keep you as busy as possible, so you don't have time to think.
By the way, does anybody has something where it says that an elder can be "downgraded" if he promotes education?
this is truly terrible.
i just love the statement "instead of eulogizing the deceased, use the material in this outline to give a fine witness concerning the truth.
" in other words, utterly disregard the deceased.
And don't forget many will count the time and put it on the slip at the end of the month.

This is a NEW outline. This is what it says on the website:
"The previous Memorial talk outline, "Observing the Lord's Evening Meal," has been replaced and should no longer be used. The outline now has a "7/12" revision date."

"they properly address God as “Father” because he will, in effect, be their Grandfather through the “Eternal Father,” Jesus Christ .—
WTF? Now Jehovah is our Grandfather?? I swear if it wasn't for this website, a lot of things will go unnoticed. Thanks Blondie!.
The freaking word "grandfather" doesn't even exist in the Bible in reference to Jehovah for our My Grandfather Sake!!!
