  Why the "New Light" in the July 15 Watchtower?

  it seems to me that in the past large flashes of "new light" have come when the governing body was backed into a corner.

  for example the multiple re-defining of what a generation is until it ended up the ridiculous "overlapping" meaning.. what is the reason this time?

  are they worried because the number of partakers has been going up?

  They wanted to separated themselves even further for power. Now, the JW's have 3 classes:

  - The Govering Body (FDS)

  - The Annointed

  - The Great Crowd

  In complete opposition to this Bible text:

  Galatians 3:28: "There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus."

  who, then, is the faithful and discreet slave?

  that slave is made up of a small group of anointed brothers who are directly involved in preparing and dispensing.

  Wow. Just wow. Thanks for posting this. And I know there was a Theocratic School Review question asking something along the lines of: Is the GB the FDS, and they will mark that answer as incorrect.

  Clearly, they make the Bible say whatever they want it to say.

  i remember when i was a "devout" jws i could not wait to get the new watchtowers and awakes from the wednesday nite theocratic ministry school.

  i would actually salivate thinking of the new information jehovah had in the magazines for us.

  i was "franatical" and i would go home still in my three piece suit and devour the magazines that very nite.

  i was an elder until march 2012 until i resigned.

  i then stopped going to meetings in october 2012 and have enjoyed 9 months of freedom that i have found to be jouful!

  i loved learning ttatt and sites like this and jwfacts.com have been excellent.. i told the elders that i needed a break and that they should not contact me unless it was a social visit and true to their word they have done that.

  @ notsurewheretogo ok, thanks for making it clear.

  It's amazing how little elders know how to treat those that have doubts. The elders don't care to help you rectify according to their believes...they just want you to "come and stay with mama". The majority don't know doctrine anyway.

  Regarding the OP, sorry to say this, but you were an elder and you ask: What would they come back at me with?

  For how long you were an elder? I thought you were supposed to know what having doubts and writting letters to the WT will bring.
