you can't help but feel sympathy for these guys.

Don't you know the WT is the hightest authority in defining words? Jeezz people don't get it. When they say "education", they mean Watchtower-approved education, which is: Teach book and alike.
i'm just curious, and i know i always end up with an answer.. but why can't the society go back to its old way of charging for the magazines.
i know this is probably easier said than done.
but if they were keeping a float in the past but are sinking now on the donation model, then is seems obvious charging for the mags was the better way to go.
You can get everything online for free (magazines and books) on the website. Unless they get rid of the magazines as PDF, or charging per download...

I would like a refresh on this too.
it seems to me that in the past large flashes of "new light" have come when the governing body was backed into a corner.
for example the multiple re-defining of what a generation is until it ended up the ridiculous "overlapping" meaning.. what is the reason this time?
are they worried because the number of partakers has been going up?

i remember when i was a "devout" jws i could not wait to get the new watchtowers and awakes from the wednesday nite theocratic ministry school.
i would actually salivate thinking of the new information jehovah had in the magazines for us.
i was "franatical" and i would go home still in my three piece suit and devour the magazines that very nite.
