Those are nice words Simon.
Let me put it WT's way: "marry someone nice who [loves the Organization,] who loves you in return".
i can't remember the topic with the discussion about the talk where they suggested that sisters should only consider ministerial servants as potential marriage partners but think about the implications more.. are they trying to use the potential affections of sisters to enourage brothers to do more and work harder?.
isn't this a form of 'pimping out' the sisters by limiting their attention to the people contributing to them?.
it seems to cross a line to me but i guess it's not vastly different to "only marry another jw".. what do you think?.

anyone will atend?.
how we can follow this meeting?.
anyone will inform us live?.
Those comments from JWTalk... o my. So cultish.
you know, rarely in the history of the org has a group this large congregated to hear from "mother.
" they incessantly speak of the huge group that met at yankee stadium in 1958...the over 250,000 that congregated to be instructed by jehovah.
but over the weekend, there were over 1,000,000 people excited to hear some type of direction, some type of encouragement, something to help them hang on "just a little longer.".
No mention at all about the brothers/sisters that got killed on the bus on their way to preach, but hey! colorful socks are more important now days!!
i will have plenty of "snark" to post later on, but please indulge me while i get this out of my system..... suppose you are the leaders...yes, the leaders...there are only 7 of you...for the one true religion in all the universe.. jehovah the god of the whole universe speaks to you, you alone, out of 7 billion+ people on teh planet.. you have an opportunity, thanks to the advancements in technology, to speak to 750,000 of your followers "live", and another 750,000 or so within 24 hours.. 1.5 million people!
hanging on your every word!.
this is the first time in history you can simultaneously, or nearly simultaneously, address so many of your adherents.. what message are you going to present for this special occasion?.
The Branch Visit (AKA, Zone Visit) in a Nutshell:
The-most-boring-Watchtower-review-ever, after that, Don't be late!, better yet, start working early for us!, after that, donate money, after that, don't go to Disney World, don't wear spandex, tight pants.
That's it.
this is the scuttlebutt in one of the "bethel congregations" by us.. no details as to exactly what this "faith-testing" announcement might be.. anyone else hear any of this pre-zone visit hype?.
.
.
They are making a BIG deal about the contribution boxes that have to be ready by the "special day". On each letter that they send to the BOE to prepare for the event, they always mention the contribution boxes.
i'm not sure if this is new since it is hard to keep up with the ever changing jw.
it is morphing so much.
i went to jw.org tv video for november and around 53 or 54 minutes into the broadcast the gb guy introduce a music video called "we won't forget you".
"We wont forget you" Sure! Just drift away and start missing meetings...they WILL miss you by the third one.
syneidos posted some interesting information on reddit regarding jw.org's latest project for the upcomming 2015 memorial campaign.. for next year's 2015 memorial campaign, jw.org is producing an invitational video featuring jesus.
the video is still being filmed at the moment and i was told it was super "confidential.
" my source already saw several scenes from it and said, "it looks and feels like a cinematic movie.
Now the WT is going to say the invented movies... oh, nevermind, they saud that with the Russell Drama already.
website owners can get reports of ip addresses that visit their website.
it would be funny to find out if this site gets regular visits from wt locations.
.
Simon, sorry but you are important!
who knows how many scribal errors the book we call 'the bible' contains?
the book of the law as written by the hand of moses has been found once more.
king josiah was the last king to see it and jeremiah the last prophet.
?
oh yep...here we go..... this weeks service meeting has a part designed to show how children should be indoctrinated and manipulated into going "out in service".
the part first asks for the disturbingly corny cartoon clip to be played on the big screen at the halls: "lets go out in service!".
(if you haven't watched it yet, please go to jw.org and watch it....you simply won't beleive it until you see it!).
Now they are showing movies to kids, in the meantime, during Da Judge days, havings kids was frowned upon, now they are entertaining them to get them in.
It's definitely a cult!
