Did you participate in a Drama?

i am bringing this up because even it was a lot of work, for the majority of the friends this was a rewarding experience.

camaraderie, joking, costumes, props and when the time came the celebrity status of being in the drama.. back in the 50s and 60s, conventions could be as long as 8 days and from about 1966 the dramas became an integral part of the program.

we had one per day and the brothers looked forward to their presentation.

Please, please stop bashing the WT over their lovely counsel to avoid the so called "higher education".

Please, pay attention to the following sound counsel and you will see why it is so wise to not pursue the so called "higher education":

"Therefore as a young person, you will never fulfill any career that this system offers. If you are in high school and thinking about a college career, it means at least four, perhaps even six or eight more years to graduate into a specialized career. But where will this system of things be by that time? It will be well on its way towards its finish, if not actually gone." (Awake! 1969 May-22 p.15)

i know this has been discussed before, but i think some of these wacky (but thought-provoking) comments deserve their own thread.. paragraph 6 says: modestly, anointed ones acknowledge that they do not necessarily have more holy spirit than those with an earthly hope.

they do not claim to have special knowledge or revelations; neither do they try to prove that they are in some way superior.

somebody needs to send this memo to the gb.

The WT/JW/GB/Super 7 always are trying to make you believe that if you want higher education you want a super car, yatch, an island, a big house. When in reality regular people do not pursue this things.

So, why the same Holy Spirit does not make it clear that you are NOT invited to become a future heir in the Kingdom arrangement? How let Christians be so confused about their calling?

Why does Tony Morris claim that his time in the Vietnam War gives him experience that will be useful in destroying 7 billion people when he reigns from heaven? I

WTF?! Did he said that??

We should also resist the urge to quiz spouses of anointed ones about how they feel knowing that they will live without their mate in the future earthly Paradise.

Why can't we ask them questions? (If I can ask somebody with an earthly hope what would they like to do in paradise, why can't I ask questions to somebody that is going to be in heaven?*

Look at the topics that are going to be discussed. Taken as a whole, is one big OBEY US! and really depressed program to sit and listen to. (I copied this from the depressedsoul's earlier topic).

Where am I getting? keep reading down there and you will see a sample of the Mormon's program form their 2015 conference. In no way I am endorsing the Mormons. I just want to point out the difference of topics. Read and see.
