Question Re The UN and The R & F.

is it common knowledge amongst the jw's about the wt being an ngo that was linked to the united nations?.

or is this information just in the hands of a few elders?

i'm intrigued as to whether this information about the un has begun to trickle through to the r & f yet, and i'm also wondering if publishers will have a ready made answer (other than a library ticket)should they be confronted with this objection during the door to door work.. englishman.. bring on the dancing girls!

Rutherford! Rutherford! Rutherford!

one factor that helped me see the watchtower in a different light was reading information about judge rutherford.. i found out that what the society says about rutherford, and what apparently the reality was were two different things.. the first thing that amazed me was finding out that while he was president of the society, and probably even before, he never went out in service.

meat eaters; fish, chicken, ect,.

as so many of you really love your meat, what is your favorite cut?.

mine is fillet....but cooked 'fillet mignon', or a juicy t-bone topped with mushroom sauce.

i don't post often and many of you seem to be relatively new to the board, so you may not know me or my situation.

i've been struggling with some the usual issues that are commented on here on a regular basis.

last sunday the elders finally asked me why i haven't been in service for the last two months.

Voltaire, actualy im considering doing the same thing as you. i havent been out in service for at least a year (how can i preach something i dont believe?) havent been to the meetings in over 2 months, im tired of living a lie its time to come clean and move on. I just finished reading ISOCF and after that how could i ever consider myself a part of that organization ? The truth is i cant and im not going to sneek around about it either. Good luck in this matter ...........Jedd
