If someone were to sell these, that would be the best Christmas present ever, I would buy one for every one in my family

Be Careful, Demons are in EVERYTHING!

My in laws scared my daughter to death telling her that stupid Smurf story. We had to go throw it in the trash, I didn't believe it, but it wasn't worth arguing about. Thanks Grandma. I used to buy things from garage sales all the time, amazingly, I never saw one demon.

Watch Tower Web Site Has No Commenting Feature, Comments Unwelcome,
by frankiespeakin inwell it comes as no surprise that the "official" watch tower web site has no place to leave a comment you can only leave your address if your interested.. can you imagine if they did have a place where you can post comments what would happen?.
i'm sure the lack luster of the wt web site is due to the fact that a bunch of old governing body member must go over it with a fine toothed comb and with all thier other business to carry out as corporation executives it is just to time consuming and lets face it these old guys just don't have what it takes to bring this organization thru the 21st century, they are too lost in thier delusion, they are fighting thier own shadow, the enemy is everyone that disagrees with them and they are so steeped in denial they don't want to hear any comment that doesn't agree with them.
they only want confirmation biased statements to read, all else must be resisted and faught against.. internet presents is very important to the wt or it should be as door to door sales will no longer pay the bills, who wants a trashy magazine when you can down load info cheaply and quickly off the net.. these delusional old guys running the wt will be the reason they go belly up.

I didn't go to college on your recomendation, it being so close to Armageddon, but I am concerned because people think it's odd for a 50 year old man to live with his mother, please advice. - 50yearoldvirgin

Interesting stats Cedars. It reminds me of the time I was researching for a website I had. I was thinking of selling collage (art/craft) supplies, so I looked for the top keyword combinations that included collage. The top 9 searches were people who didn't know how to spell the word college, for example "sexy collage girls", "hot collage girls". I concluded that I was in the wrong business altogether and needed to get into the sex business, as obviously not that many people were looking for collage supplies, lol.

I check once a day usually, I post maybe once a week. It's great for keeping up with people I don't see in person on a regular basis. I don't worry about privacy, I wouldn't put anything on there either private or controversial.

by El_Guapo inthanks to this website and jwfacts, i have come to learn the "infamous" ttatt.. i've had soooo many emotions the last couple months.. (fyi: i've been baptized since '95 third gen jw, elder father and every other member of my family is a regular pioneer).

Rip Van Winkle : Except for the bargaining part. I would also say that I didn't go through a depression- it's more like having the blues, compounded with substance abuse- but not depression.
The blues and substance abuse IS depression. Great name BTW

Amway
by enigma1863 ini was curious, how many jws end up getting caught up in pyramid scemes like amway.
i was caught up in there online program quixstar for a little while several years ago.
i noticed there are several similarities between amway and a cult..

My ex husband bought into every pyramid scheme that came around, Amway, Shaklee, Meleleuca. He never really figured out that it was a sucker bet, every time. Yes, if you are good at pressuring your friends and neighbors to join and sell them overpriced soap, vitamins, or whatever, you can make money, but it took a lot of hard work, which he wasn't prepared to do, and sales skills, which he didn't possess. We used to go round and round, I was so sick of wasting money on overpriced products. And it is very cult like, something I found distasteful. He never seemed to wise up, I am sure he is in one of some kind right now.

My laptop died and I replaced it with a Kindle Fire (smaller tablet). They are much easier to use than a PC, I think you will fond that she will need only a little help in the beginning. I use our other laptop for a few things (Kindle doesn't print or not that I have been able to do anyway), but 99% of the time, the Kindle does the job. It is faster than our PC, much less prone to viruses, and so portable, I can fit it in my purse.

Good Reasons To Hate Every Weak And Ex-Jehovah Witness.
by AuntConnie in1. my husband's time is finite, it's wasted on spouses arguing over money, sex or family mattters with stupid home visits.. .
i hate people's constant open hand for money, it's the weak individuals asking others to pull their weight.
my family worked extra hours instead of begging the strong members for district assembly money, cat food for seven cats or tiny little rag-a-muffins weiner dogs.. .

Wow. Just wow. So you spent your life trying to please your parents by being a good JW, but they give your "bad" siblings more love and attention, so you are resentful and shun them. So how is that working? I can understand your feelings a bit , but do you really want to let your mother die without telling her you love her? It's not like you will get a second chance at this. I wish I could have told my mother good by, but she was shunning me, so I couldn't. Punishing your mom will not help you. Look at your children and decide which one you can cut out of your life if they are not perfect. Can't do it? Neither could your mother, it's not that she doesn't love you, it's that she can't stop loving her other children. Your being the good one doesn't change that.
And you served this organization faithfully, and are getting nothing for it? Big surprise, did you see anyone else ever get anything back from it? Didn't you notice that there was no pension plan, no 401k, no vacations, no gold watch, not even a thank you? I am sorry to be hard, but this is the reality of the organization you served. Yes, there are a lot of losers in this religion who don't think for themselves or take any responsibility for themselves. There is a way to handle them, it's called saying no. I never expected anyone to do things for me, and they shouldn't either. It may be difficult, but it must be done. You will lose your status as the perfect, happy JW, always willing to help. So what, That was just a pretence, right?
It's time to stop pretending to be the perfect Jehovah's Witness. Tell your husband how you really feel. Ask him to step down as an elder. You need him right now, more than any one else. You are dealing with depression here whether you admit it or not. You need professional help, and possibly medication. There is no shame in it, anymore than medication for any other kind of illness. Your anger and rage are coming through in every post, left untreated you may blow up, have a break down or hurt somebody, I am not joking. There are ways to treat depression without medication, but you must treat it.
After you stop being a doormat and get some help for your depression, it will be time to figure out if you are in the right religion.
