  will my Mom be in some big trouble?

  it has been 13 years since i flew the coop,so i am not sure what changes or might i say new insight has come about.. here is the problem.

  my mom who has been a witness for 18 years and is 73 years old has lymphoma of the brain.. in order to have a chance at all she is taking chemo and has decided to accept blood platlets.. she is still a loyal j.w.

  and nothing has changed to her.she understands what she is doing but evidently thinks it won't matter.. under these circumstances does anyone know what or if they will take disciplinary action?.

  I'd appreciate some insight on what my mother claims was said at assembly

  okay, well my mother called this evening and was all emotional about her one day assembly.

  i was shocked she brought it up, as we just do not mention the religion anymore, but lately little things keep getting said at her conventions and assemblies that seem to be making this line something she wants to cross more these days.

  what she brought up, was something i had not heard mentioned on here and i wanted some insight from people who actually heard it or knew more about it.

  I know they love to talk about the days the preaching work will be over.I imagine there are many who would be very happy to see the end of f.s. I have nightmares of being back out there myself. I also believe that they keep the publishers busy buying as many books and mags as they can possibly afford so they have a good business without any outsiders business.

  Nearly Lost my Son Yesterday

  i got a call from the ex, she was in tears, and said that our son was struck by car while riding his bike to work.

  when i got to the er, he was lying there in the bed.

  he was bruised & scratched.

  So glad you were spared the horror of losing your son.

  I lost a cousin to a drunk driver so I am always happy to hear when one gets caught.

  Hope your son heals quickly and is out having fun again soon.

  When did the Society start making territory cards?

  i'm curious to know when the territory card system came out.

  any ideas?.

  in some congs i have been in, the territory servant is printing out the maps in color for each car group.

  When I was in 1992 or so we were being issued territory maps.I think that is about when it started .After reading the posts I guess I am way wrong huh?

  lets face it the ransom just does not make sense.

  regardless of this, religion is soley a chronological and geographical entity.

  I totally understand your questioning.I believe that part of that is the W.T. burnout.I had it,my sons do still.The bottom line is faith I think.Maybe religion is a state of heart?We don't know what is ahead but we would't know that anywayKeep searching.

  well from what i understand a cult is something that expects you to follow some man.

  you must give up your individual thought processes and just go with what you are told to think.

  this way you are released from individual responsibility.

  My experience was nothing but brainwashing,but sadly part of the brainwashing is being convinced that you are not.I wonder what would happen if there was absolutely not one piece of literature from the W.T.?I don't remember ever doing anything without the study arcticles. I don't know,I like reading my Bible praying, and mixing with other believers. I can live without all that.

  Can You be announced DF w/Out a JC Meeting?

  my parents just got a phone call from a longtime inactive witness who heard from his very active witness wife that they were announced df'd.

  we don't know if its it true or not becuase none of us go to meetings anymore and have no inside sources at the hall to tell us (as we are apostates, who would tlak to us????

  ) the elders have tried a couple times to talk to them but my dad avoids them.

  I sent a letter dissassociating myself from them.My Mother who remains J.W.informed me afterwards had I just layed low and kept quiet they would not have disfellowshipped me. freebird2000
