Can You Really Be Counted as an Apostate Publisher?

one reason, it has been said, is that jws would still be having an affect on them.
they don't want to spend their saturday mornings discussing the religion.

Overrun with Watchtowers
by Swamboozled inso today i took a little time to go through the house and throw away all of my jw literature and old magazines.
you would not believe the number of watchtowers and awakes in this house!!!
they are freakin everywhere and seem to be reproducing!

Reminds me of the watchtower/Awake my mom left in the bathroom when she visited me this weekend. My husband asked if I put them in there, I said no my mom did, but I just left it in there of emergency purposes .

I personally do not post with the objective of hoping new ones will get my message. I came here to talk with others that were having doubts about the JW's. Just to exchanges thoughts and opinions. I don't see it being the same as activitely going door to door searching out new ones to study with. Most of the people here want to be here and learns answers to certain question. Most post Hi, I'm new here or this is my story... asking for advice or just to be heard.
I can't see how it's the same thing as what JW's do in the ministry.

Have you heard, "There are people worse off than you, stop complaining!"
by WingCommander inthis was a typical response to any kind of complaint or sharing of a personal situation with anyone in the congregation.
instead of offering up some kind of physical or emotional support, almost 100% of the time me and my family would get the old:.
"don't you know that there are brothers worse off than you in the world, whom are truly hurting?

Your congergation sounds horrible! The members (elders not included) of my old hall were for the most part very caring. There were a few selfish unloving individual (mostly elders) but the majority of them were very loving and warm.. That probably one of the few things I missed.

Amnesty!
by 5thGeneration inwouldn't it be great to have the society announce an amnesty for all of those who are sick and tired of the whole routine.. no dfing, no disassociating.. just simply announce that they realize there are many who wish to "drift" away and if you are one of them then go ahead.
no harm, no foul.. i know, i know.

Hiding from the reality

I remember being excited to know that this system would end before this "generation" passed away. So when they change the meaning from it being a literal generation. I was ticked off. Like how did you get that wrong?! How? So I started doubting then. Plus I didn't understand how they would encourage people to not pursue higher education.

Worst Thing Youve Done In A Meeting?

years ago, when i was a bit more wicked/naughty/younger than i am now, i thought i would take some drugs just prior to the meeting to see if it would make things any more interesting.
it didnt, but at least i enjoyed the kingdom melodies tapping my foot to the beat and bopping my head!!

In my early teen years would go to the second school ( away from mom) and sleep through it.
My aunt was a witness who went to our hall and she would always sit with us. EVERY meeting she would stare me down if I was not paying attention to the meeting closely enough ( I guess according to her). I mean examine me like I was a bug or something. So one day I got so pissed that started picking in my nose and acting like I was eating my bogers! If you could have seen her face.lmao @ the memory.

Welcome! I've read some of your posts and I do think some were intentionally being difficult, but just ignore them. I don't think it's rude. IMO you don't have to reply to everything that is said, if it's said in a spiteful manner. But that is my opinion, some may not agree.
I appreciated your intentions. Sorry you feel ganged up on at times. I think the majority are really nice and have been very helpful to me. I love this site. I feel bad that you are not experiencing the samething.
