Believe it or not I would end up studying with most of the kids that I went to school with after I knocked on their door.
I knew they weren't seriously interested in the"truth" but it gave me a reason to hang out with them .

"Are the rules that hard to follow?"
by rebel8 inoften i hear jws claim that people leave the borg because they cannot follow the rules, implying that anyone who leaves lacks character, self control, and/or moral values.. often i hear jwd posters--me included--say the myriad of rules in the borg is one of (not the only) reason they would not follow the org.
virgochick said it well in the "how do you feel about the name j----?
" thread:.

When I was younger it always amazed and confused me how each congergation is so different.
One sister couldn't give a talk on the Theocratic school because she had microbraids in her hair. They said it made her look to ethnic! What's!well she is, she's black. lol
Another sister I know got counseled for wearing a blue jean skirt.
I go to another kingdom Hall to visit and I saw a sister wearing a blue jean suit (it looked very smart by the way) giving a talk on the school and almost every sister at the hall had some type of hair extension! lol. I was like mama, I thought we couldn't do that.

i was born into a violent abusive JW family
by ania inthe abuser was my father, we were all (7 children) abused severely (including our mother) as a child i did not understand what exactly was going on but after many years of councelling and so-forth (my counceller tells me, my case is the most severe she has had in her 12 years as a counceller) i discovered that my father was (is) a sado-masichist.
he got sexual enjoyment from beating us all.
i already knew this to an extent i just never realised there was actually a name for what he got out of it.. after 20 odd years of this abuse, my mother had tried to go through the right channels (the elders, in several congregations we moved to etc) in order to get permission to take her children and live separate to her husband who was a constant threat to our very lives (he was a diagnosed paranoid schizophrenic & incrediably unpredictable) she was however told time and again that if she left her husband she and her unbaptised children (under 18) would most certainly lose out on everlasting life.

Brad Pitt support for gay marriage
by BizzyBee inwhat a clever way to avoid tying the knot!.
new york - brad pitt, ever the social activist, says he won't be marrying angelina jolie until the restrictions on who can marry whom are dropped.
"angie and i will consider tying the knot when everyone else in the country who wants to be married is legally able," the 42-year-old actor reveals in esquire magazine's october issue, on newsstands sept. 19.. is brad pitt morphing into tom cruise, or is that just my imagination?.

love Jolie, she so hot! I understand about the List Mrk !
Okay, he's just using this as an excuse, and he sounds really stupid. If he really wanted to marry her, he would and just SUPPORT, the whole gay marriage movement ( and Suri is absolutely freakin adorable!- still loves Tom although hes a nut)
