What's the most unexpected comments your JW companion said in the FS?
by JH ini remember once, we were in the field service, and my companion was talking to the householder.
the householder said, "we don't go to church anymore", thinking this would deceive us....lol.
so, my jw friend told him, hey that's great !!!

Welcome Paula
I'm so sorry to hear about your tragic experience. I don't understand why they would not give you time to heal! I'm glad that in the end you no longer talk to them.

Blondie, That looks like the whole reasoning book! lol
I didn't say anthing stupid but something stupid happened.
I am embarrassed to admit when I was younger (early teens) I was almost never prepared for conversation at the door and regularly winged it. I would stand there and pray that no one would come to the door.
Well one time I decide to just pretend to ring all the doors with doorbells when it was my turn. While the lady I was working with kept getting people answering the door. No one of course answered mines. So I go to this door and ring the bell (pretended), just as we are about to walk away. This lady walks out the door (silently I'm screaming) to leave. And my partner explains how she's she came to talk to her even though she's on her way out. The householder looks kinda confused and is like excuse me? So my partner's like yes we came to talk about blah blah blah. And the householders looking like I have to go. So finally my partner get's it that the lady is leaving and was not coming to talk to her. And then my partner, embarrassed say's I'm sorry we thought you were coming to talk to us. We rung your doorbell. The householder say," You didn't ring my doorbell" and then press it to see if it's working and ... ding dong. The loudest bell I ever heard. I wanted to crawl under the porch.

All white girls are.........
by Gill inmy daughter has been 'going out' with a black gentleman for the last year.
they are very much in love by the looks of things and have long term plans.. however, opposition has recently come from somewhere i did not expect.
it turns out that he has been very upset with his mother since she made several unpleasant remarks to him.

Your right Gill. I think her feelings probably stem from bad treatment from white's in her native country. It will be hard for her to see the difference without actually meeting a white person who treats her nice. I'm sorry that this is happening for them. I firmly believe you should be with who you love and treats you good, no matter what race they are.
I hope that his mother changes her mind.

Mystery Flowers
by Good Girl or Bad Girl? ini received a beautiful bouquet of tulips back in february after my breakdown that ended up being the gateway to my wts escape.
the tulips were left outside my apartment door.
i tried, in vain, to find out who gave them to me.

I got flowers sent to my job once. I thought it was my husband, it wasnt . lol
The guy who sent them, was someone I was seeing (not really dating) when me and my husband (boyfriend at the time) were breaking up. He sent them months after we stopped seeing each other and after I reconciled with my hubbie. Just a I hope you are doing well gift. Nice guy.

Anti-Witnessed at an Office Today! It was fun!
by Seeker4 ini had to travel to another newspaper owned by the company i work for to learn some of their software today.
it's an open office with everyone in one room, and we had a lot of interesting conversations on all sorts of subjects.. at one point a reporter made a comment about a photo he was running, and noted that the woman had made comments that it was only with the help of the lord that she had been able to move her radio shack store to its new location.
one of the other reporters said that it was good that jesus had died on the cross 2000 years ago so that he could be available to help her out.

Another one...
My views on materalism. It is okay to want nice things, if you work hard for them. I have such a hard time spending money on anything. It's so weird. I can spend 15 dollars on 5 cheap shirts. But not want to spend 45 on a really good quality shirt. Same goes with everything else. I have to tell myself quantity does not equal quality. And it's okay to spend extra.
I was always struggling over guilt about going to school for further education and having a good 40plus week career.
