Leon Weaver is on the U.S. Branch Committee, and as izo said Weaver is also VP of the new corporation. He is African-American, married man in his mid to upper 50's. I think there is a picture of him with the other Branch members in the 2003 Yearbook.
He spoke at our district convention last year. Average run-of-the-mill speaker, nothing like J.R. Brown.

Elderrepents - Yes I am still an elder. I'm staying around for my family and friends. I try to make the cong I attend a better place, balancing out some of the unreasonable elders. I used to hope that some type of reform would be possible, but the longer I hang around I don't know.
Mulan - This is the only letter we received, unless my PO has another one. In the past he's held onto letters before giving them to me or the other elders. If I learn something else, I'll let you know.

Amnesia- WTS has divided their responsibilities amongst the various corporations. BOE letters still come from WB&TS NY and CCofJW. I think there was some correspondence explaining who would handle what. If I can find it I'll post it.

it seems a few months ago there would always be a new boe letter posted every few weeks.
There have not been many BOE letters lately. There will be a supplementary elder's school this Fall in the U.S. The school will be for two days, my school is scheduled in October. I will try to record it. We were told to study the following references.

1000 were asked to leave brooklyn bethel (actually, this includes the farm and patterson) "voluntarily!
" only 6 replied to the request in the last 3 weeks.
it looks like the "waters" of bethel are drying up, or rather, their revenues are drying up!
It has been awhile since I posted, but I wanted to share this.
I spoke to a recent Ministerial Training School (MTS) graduate and my cousin serving at WT Farms. My cousin confirmed that WT would like to lose 1500 Bethelites mainly due to attrition. Both my cousin and the MTS graduate said that not many brothers are applying for MTS, so WT is allowing Bethelites to apply to MTS and married couples at Bethel may be invited to future Gilead classes. Before sending these brothers back to the local congregations, WT wants to make sure that they will be good Society-men by sending them through MTS.
still feeling the guilt.. why?.
i havent done enought.. but i feel my hands are tied.. i could write to friends, call them go to the hall and make a speech,or go to assembly grounds, hand out leaflets.. but if i do any of that i will be disfellowshipped.. then no one will talk to me even my family will have problems.. but if i don't do something now what good is my current standing with the witnesses, whats the point in being able to talk to them if i don't use it to any effect?.
do i just sod it all ,write a load of letters , even go to the hall i put my hand up and say what i really think?.
Sleepy, I have similar feelings. I'm trying to determine what to do, how to tread in my current situation. I like what JBean said "take my time, take care of myself emotionally and physically, and with lots of prayer", seems to be good advice.
