I am still all messed up. Even though this board provides alot of encouragement I still feel very alone. I still have overwhelming feelings of helplessness because I no longer "know" that whatever I am doing is right or wrong. Everyone that I looked to for guidance in life is jw. Only my uncle and one friend are out and know my thinking on the wts, my mother knows a little bit and I have started talking with another friend a little. Everyone else just thinks I am df for fornication and will be back soon and everything will be fine. I still plan on going back for their sake and then fading. I can't sleep at night thinking about it all. I feel I have no real sense of direction. My mairrage is ending which adds to my being all messed up and lack of direction. Sometimes things seem to be getting easier but then others I think I just fooling myself. I live with the constant battle of do I think something because thats what the wts brainwashed me to think or is that how I really feel on the subject and most of the time its the brainwashing. I have had bouts of anger and bitterness, but not so much anymore. Now for the most parts I think jw are a bunch of very misguided people and thats sad. I am adjusting slowly and no trying to rush it.

my sister and i, are my mothers only two children.

we were both witnesses at one point, i left ten year ago and my sister left in 2005. my mother remains as the only witness left in my immediate family.

while my sister and i make good money, with our careers and duel income in marriage, we don't talk about it much.

I have never known of anyone being df for materialism. I did know of a cong. in one of the beach cities in cali where half the servent body own or worked for this investment banking firm. This firm not only stole money from several members of the cong. and commited fraud, but wts also had large sums of money "lost" there also. Most if not all were df and told they couldn't be reinstated till it was paid back.

On a side not I have never known anyone to be d/f for gluttony or drunkeness either.

hey, i've been looking into setting up an ex-jw meetup group on meetup.com.

according to their site, there is already 29 people within one hundred miles of rochester who have signed up to the site saying they would be interested in a meetup.

the problem is it cotst either: $19.00 for one month, $45.00 for three months, or $72.00 for six months.

at least i found it so.. i would welcome the opinion of all on the board to this sentiment on page 19, paragraph 8 and9:.

'although subjection can be challenging, women can welcome it as honorable, even as did jesus.

But women are to fragile and unqualified to think for themselves. They are after all weaker vessels.

I've known women but in and out more knowledgable and rational than any of the big strong men that were on the body of elders in my cong.

thats pretty funny and not to far fetched. Recently in a phone conversation mind grandmother recounted all the things Jehovah had done for me throughout my life, it was almost unbearable not to laugh (or vomit).
