When I pioneered 45 years ago in the midwest USA, we drove hours a day between farm communities and isolated homes on rural highways. I asked outr CO, Harold Lackey, how to count time because there were stretches of time when we talked to no one. He said that if we started at 9 AM and finished at 5 PM, subtract one hour for lunch and count 7 hours FST.

I liked that man.

and makes great money, yea right.. so what are all those 'approved jobs?'.

Excellent interview.

Gregorio is well spoken and has, with intelligence and good intentions, composed this documentary. He contacted Bethel's PR department (at about 20 minutes), and they said they were not interested and hung up.

Some 1000 individuals connected to JWs replied to his call, about 1/3 being active Witnesses. None of that group agreed to be onscreen though their identity would have been protected.

I've always had my head in the clouds, almost literally. "What are you staring at up there?" curious bystanders would ask.

Well, along with that existed an undue deference toward others. Because my heart and mind were wrapped up in the world of fantasy -- aided and abetted by WT theology and iconography -- it really took me a while to become grounded in the real world, a harsh, no-nonsense world intolerant of my retreats into Wonderland.

Never aggressive, yet I have become mildly assertive when it's necessary to be so. My "no" has, truly, become NO! Gently stated, of course.

I've come a long way, Baby . . .

One of my main problems with the WT: A very irresponsible organization

one of my main problems with the watch tower and, more specifically, with the governing body is the level of irresponsibility seen when lives of people are involved and their unapologetical attitude when people suffer due to their absurd policies.. how many people were imprisoned or killed for refusing to perform civil service in exchange for military service?.

we do not know, but it does not matter, because the society does not even apologize for the harm their blinking light caused.. how many people died or contracted illnesses due to the prohibition of vaccines?.

we might never know, but an apology is not on the menu.. how many people died for refusing (or disfellowshipped for accepting) fractions of blood when it was against the rules?.

Someone posted here on the board, that JW policy on blood and vaccination caused death of 250,000 JWs, more than any combined oppressions from Hitler, Stalin, and other dictators. JWs are the worst enemies for themselves, but what to expect from suicidal cult that wants its member sacrifice for their publishing house.

I don't understand the portion highlighted. In reference to JWs, does this mean percentage-wise, based on number of deaths against membership? Those dictators murdered millions of people.
