I debated with many JW's online after that story was posted in the SUN news (UK).

And not a single JW could defend the JW blood policy. Danny Haszard still sends me other online news articles, including today.

The JW's simply cannot ever defend the inconsistent current blood policy today. It has never been done. It cannot be done. It is really just THAT BAD.

Our good JW visiting guest, ALEMAN, tried it for a few days and many of you saw what happened to him last weekend.

And then he skipped town altogether after a few good rounds on blood. I believe he went crying to his mommy...

HE WAS TOTALLY BURIED BY THE JW BLOOD POLICY.

I hope your sister-in-law does okay. As you know, many times it does not work out okay.

Which is why the JW blood policy is really a sick thing today.

At least people are more aware today than ever before.

Does Debating Have to Be Abusive - To Be Effective ?

my wife and i were having an interesting discussion about some of the debates that take place on the board here .

now, granted most people , i feel upwards of 90 % on the board maybe higher try to be respectful in their debates or discussions on topics.

i think we all had enough bashing in the witness organization.

There is no way I can read through all this.

My opinion is that if one is on the wrong end of the debate issue, then it can sure look like they are being abused.

Sometimes, when you are on the right side of the issue you will look like you are abusing the wrong side of the issue.

So what, that is called "LIFE", folks.

Healthy, in-depth debate is good for all involved, IMO.

But some degree of respect and tolerance for those with opposing viewpoints should still be shown outside of debate mode.

In fact I like some atheists personally. And I have offered to take a few to swimming holes where large sharks hang out.

In such case Vinny is not the one being abusive.

That would be the sharks job.

Personally, I think you might have come in a bit too fast for any JW. Especially your own husband. And a young buck at that.

My own wife ended up leaving on her own, after me. But it took several months after my own departure.

All I could do was be patient with her and try to keep the information highway rolling at her pace.

You have already shown your hand Cognac. I am not sure how this can end up in anything other than judicial if he goes to the elders, which he probably will soon enough.

While you might hope to hang on to what is good in your life and what offers security right now, you should start thinking about what you can do if forced to start over with nothing.

Many here will definitely offer you a helping hand, when needed. Do not be ashamed or too prideful to accept help, if you need it.

This is what the JW's do. This is why many JW's never leave or even speak up. They destroy lives and families all the time. You cannot disagree with the organization. That is your biggest problem.

My wife and I have a room here too. You are always welcomed to stay with us if needed.

Hopefully though things will slow down a bit.

But I would start thinking what you can do if it does not.

i am getting away for a moment from congacs forum to talk about what i have reaserched about the blood topic.. blood is composed of a liquid called blood plasma and blood cells suspended within the plasma.

the blood cells present in blood are red blood cells, white blood cells, and platelets.plasma is predominantly water containing dissolved proteins, salts and many other substances; and makes up about 55% of blood by volume.

by far the most abundant cells in blood are red blood cells.

****** The reason I'd have to disagree with you on this idea is because I have debated with literally HUNDREDS OF JW's online and dozens of JW's in person since doing my own careful examinations and coming to my own conclusions that the WT Society is WRONG ON BLOOD.

I still receive e-mail notices from Danny Haszard about online JW articles where JW's will often show up and do exactly what Aleman has done here. Which is GET BURIED and then GET OUT OF DODGE.

I was just on Beliefnet a couple weeks ago and the very same thing happened there as well. The JW's always get TROUNCED whenever they try debating blood. And then they find another thread to start on another subject. But the undeniable fact is that they ALWAYS LOSE ON BLOOD.

I am not exaggerating when I tell you what you see here with Aleman, is simply PAR FOR THE COURSE.

Most JW's are not even aware of all the changes and flip flopping with blood, vaccinations, organ transplants etc. Most learn about these things from EX-JW's, as did I.

The other fact is that even the most capable of JW's cannot defend this sorry policy. I have seen Rolf Furuli get buried and then head for the hills when debating blood.

The JW's simply cannot say they "abstain from blood" while also allowing JW's to take FRACTIONS OF BLOOD. Fractions of blood come from one source only; BLOOD ITSELF.

The JW's were better off just saying no to all blood period. Even then they are completely wrong having misapplied what the bible actually says. But at least they could say they were consistent. By allowing fractions of blood, but at the very same time trying to tell us they fully abstain from blood, they have not only misapplied what the bible says, but are also double standard hypocrites now.

By taking FRACTIONS of blood from the world's blood supply, but not being allowed to donate any blood BACK to this very same blood supply, they have misapplied what the bible says, are double standard hypocrites and also immoral IDIOTS that really seem to lack the most basic of common sense on this issue.

By being allowed to use Hemopure (made from Cow's blood), and being allowed to accept fractions of blood (donated from from other people), but NOT being allowed to even STORE THEIR OWN BLOOD, for ANY emergency use, the JW's have misapplied what the bible says, are double standard hypocrites and also immoral IDIOTS that really seem to lack the most basic of common sense on this issue, and are owners of a policy with more holes than swiss cheese which is a complete embarrassment and black eye to the WT Society by any human that takeS the time to examine it all.

Which is precisely why sorry folks like Aleman are stuck having to defend this gargantuan mess the WTS has created for itself. And the results of such efforts are plain to see for any reasonable person reading this thread or other attempts to debate this same subject elsewhere.

It gets embarrassingly ugly every single time.

The reason most JW's like Aleman deny the facts as they actually are is because it would shoot down the WT Society's ONE TRUE FAITH self applied titles and claims IN A BALL OF FLAMES.

And THAT is just too much to deal with.

So we get what we see right here on this thread. Pathetic attempts to defend this horrendous policy. Questions unanswered. Posted WT Society rhetoric and an unmistakable debate BEATING every single time a JW even bothers to show up.

and petrified... i just recently became a pioneer and always had nagging questions in the back of my mind.

so, i decided that when i have get a study i would research all the questions as i go along so as to prove everything in the truth... i got 4 studies in about 2 months.

all was fine, until i reached i think chapter 6 in the bible teach book about the resurrection.

I appreciate the comments. From my experience, unless a person is truly open minded, it does not matter what they read or learn about, regardless of how damaging it is to the WT Society. I have seen time and again when JW's do the very same thing Aleman is doing on other threads.

Throw WT propaganda up and then conveniently slip out the back door.

When I was on my way out, and dealing with the facts as I had uncovered them, the only advice the JW's could give me was tto say two things. It seems they all repeated the same two things.

1- To wait on Jehovah.

I told them 65 years is pretty long, don't ya think? What you really mean is wait on the SOCIETY. No can do any longer.

and the other sorry reply I'd often hear:

2- Jehovah can resurrect anybody that dies.

Are you kidding me! Sure, the Maker can just FIX what the WT Society has broken. How insensitive can you get? Try telling that to the parents of a toddler that just died. Or the young kids of a mother that was just buried .

The WT Society has many broken, pathetic and embarrassing policies today. But in my opinion, this horrendous, sorry, inconsistent and indefensible policy on BLOOD, causing numerous and unnecessary deaths and anguish, is the absolute WORST!
