i've been thinking a lot about this lately and i would unhesitatingly say 'yes!'.
we've had our ups and downs - almost always my fault .
my god, how our upbringing can affect us!

One thing I've learnt..
IF you really love someone, you will ALWAYS love them.
No matter what they do, even if you don't really like them any more. You will always love them.
i'm still running win95, and it has been good to me for the past 8 years or so.
unfortunately, it seems that win95 is officially becoming obsolete, especially with browsing the internet.
some websites require ie6 or newer, and win95 can't run it.. so, i'm thinking about getting a new computer, or even a used one that isn't too far behind the times.
Forget Linux and Macs. If your still using Win95, you are not exactly a techno geek, so go with the easy mainstream system.
And I do not mean that in any way insulting. Win XP Home is fine for the general home user, XPpro has a few extraa that most home users would never use and a few which are NOT suitable for the 'average' person.
I've been in the IT trade for more than 20 years, and one thing I've learned is that 'joe average' does not need an all singing, all dancing hyper-speed techno buster machine.
Win XP Home on an entry level Intel based PC is the best bet for average home users. No question !
p.s. Why is it that when someone in america builds the most succesful buisness in the world people bitch at him for doing it ?? Land of free enterprise....I think not!

I'm new here, but I couldn't pass this post without replying.
There has been a media frenzy in the UK for some time now, and the 'establishment' panders to the press every time. The press rules the courts, esp. when it comes to minority persecution. When I was a kid, it used to be 'gays' but now the word "paedophile" has become the new boogy word, replacing 'rape' as the media power word of choice. And it is applied to just about any case they can stretch the facts to fit.
In the UK the age of consent is 16. Our equivalent of statutory rape is under 13.
Even though the Law Commission, who was set up to update the law, and had access to all the child protection agencies, made the following recomendation;-
We therefore further recommend that there should be an age limit below which there is an irrebuttable presumption that a child does not have the capacity to consent to sexual intercourse for the purposes of a charge of rape. This limit should be set at an age below which virtually no child would in fact be capable of consenting to sexual intercourse.
They added
"Illustratively, we suggest that it is likely to be something between 9 and 11"
So the government set it at 13. Guess the going with the experts wouldn't be good for thier image.
Now I'm not saying I agree with either side of the argument, but the hypocracy of it all, really does make me fume.
