we were lucky enough to live next door to the kingdum hall and i sometimes had to run home for a forgotten mag but i did spend a lot of time in the can taking care of my little brothers. it was the only time my sisters and i would knock eachother over to get a chance at a dirty diaper. my dad was the biggest walk around find something else to do besides listen elder you ever met.

I used to go to the bathroom alot...did you?
by Dragonlady76 ingrowing up, i hated sitting through the borefest meetings with a passion, to complicate matters i have add and could not sit still during the meetings, so i used to make excuses about having to go to the bathroom constantly, this way i could get up and move around and tune out the meeting for a few minutes.. sometimes i wished that i had a baby, since the sisters got their own nursing room during assemblies, and in the kingdumb hall they could take the babies to the bathroom, there they could hang out for a bit.. what did you do to escape?.

What Lies or False Statements Has The Watchtower Society Been Guilty Of?
by minimus infor an organization that claims to be the heralder of the "truth", it seems they have a history of mistakes.
they assert that one must believe their "faithful slave" but who is that "slave"?
is it charles taze russell or all the anointed ones living on earth at a given time?

hi. it's me again. WW. i haven't been on in some time- but i still check on you all once in a while to see what's new. i have been charging through life lately..trying to finish school and figure out what i really want to do when i grow up. my biggest accomplishment is: i have been a lot better with this whole jw ridiculousness and my family, thanks to you (and my partner). so in a nutshell life has been good. today i got a little reminder of the disgusting and completely destructive actions of jw families. my aunt is dying. i just found out. today. she only has a few days. i am saddened that she is suffering and that she faces death. but mostly my hurt comes from the fact that my family is too close-assed to let me know. the past few years i have done everyhting for my grandma and her, along with caring for my dying grandpa (ironically one of "the chosen few".)...all while being 'out'. i am the only grandchild/neice that has gived a rat's ass about them. my immediate jw family lives out of state while my panty waste jw cousins and uncle live only miles from them. still... i was there. this last year i backed up, stopped pushing my love and affection on them. it got to be too hard. i told myself that since they had this stupid rule, if they wanted me, they could come to me. fast forward to today. my non-existant mother and her husband i have never met are on their way here from out of state. my out of state jw sis was kind enough to let me know that i might want to stop by and see our aunt...everyone is acting like it's no big deal. "oh...you didn't hear??" how could i? you shun me. another aunt said it was nice that i was back in the loop...what??? are these people that nuts? they think i chose to be banished and alone. yeah...it's been great!
i know there are bigger and mightier problems out there. i know i am not the only one with a jw family that chomps them into little pieces and spits them out. i am not the only one that feels like an orphan. i am just so upset with this situation. i want them all to go away and leave me alone. if i'm not good enough for you on monday..but am 'ok' for you on tuesday...screw off.
i needed to vent. thanks for listening. i've missed you.

I hear ya loud and clear mama...Back when my son was two I was waiting tables during the lunch shift, making barely enough to take a cab or bus to pick him up from daycare and grab a box of pasta for a dollar so I could feed him dinner. Rent was behind 3 months or more, my car was dead, daycare was demanding money, my jw ex was refusing to pay child support... When I look back I don't know how the hell we made it.

An Example of honesty wt Feb.2007
by bobld inthe wbts has published many of these, where money is found and returned to the owner .with a reason, because i am a jw.in this issue, there is a big picture of nelma:a woman from chuzeiro do sul, brazil.she apparently found $1000.00 in the pockets of some trousers that were donated because of a flood.nelma returned the money to the businesswoman who had donated the clothing.this lady was overjoyed to receive the money, because she had set aside her payroll for her employees in a trouser pocket.. should they(gb/fds) be idolizing these honest people?.
note:no man should be idolized.christians should guard against idolatry.it means giving such a one a measure of worshipful devotion.but god explicitly stated that he does not tolerate such a thing.however, they (gb/fds) lack proper perspective,of knowledge and understanding of honest people helping people.it is as if by exalting a fellow human creature they are lifting themselves up also.. now here is an example from the world.. this is from a wordly newspaper.yes i know the wts says these are half truths.i will not quote the whole article.
"i am contacting your newspaper in the hope that i may be able to puplicly thank the good samaritans who helped me when my truck broke down on the highway just......on date.in my distress,i regrettably failed to get the name of this kind young man from...who went home to get a vehicle that could tow my vehicle back to the city.and than to top it off, drove me to get a room for the night.my thanks are also extended to the hotel owner to drove me to my truck.he gives more praise.......thank you for the opportunity to express my gratitude to all who assisted me to return home safely".

All the 'jws are the only good people' crap makes me want to scream. Anytime I brought up a question to my mom about the witnesses having the truth, she would always reply with: "Well, we are the only people on earth living a good, honest, and loving life according to the bible."
In the organization I know more liars, theives, cheaters and abusers of children, wives and alcohol than I have ever met in the world.

Daddy Dearest was a big shot elder and our little family was expected to be a shining example of a jw family at all times. All the other kids my age were baptized already or planning to. Everyone was on my ass at every second asking when, why not, where, with who...and I finally caved at 13 so I could do it with my girlfriend. Answering the questions to pepare for baptism only made me more confused and depressed. The day of was the worst day of my life. My dad was a huge dick that day, berating me for everything from the dress I wore to me wanting to sit by my friends during lunch. He humiliated me in front of everyone, refused a special dinner with my grandparents (who drove up for the occasion), and at the end of what is supposed to be the most glorious day for any witness, I had come up with a zillion reasons I didn't want to be one.
