"Your consciousness is entangled in species specific actions"
Mine. This is hilarious. Thx for posting.
this computer program generates random quotes that sound just like actual chopra woo woo.... what gem do you get to guide you through life today?.
i got .... "death fascinates the progressive expansion of excellence"something to think about!.
Mine. This is hilarious. Thx for posting.
this is the link to the website that was set up for the intl.
convention here in seattle the weekend before last.
we went to dinner in the city with family members afterward and saw a lot of old friends.
Hi exwhyzee! I get your opening post. Every once in awhile, usually when I've had interactions with JW, I have an emotional reaction...a surge of thoughts all jumbly. I don't want that life with its mindless obedience strings...yet it was my life and have a fond memories of good/fun times. My logical mind loves every single bit of being out, never ever would even consider returning. Yet, there is an emotional tie to people, good times, being a part of "something." Then of course I resent the hard choices we and they have to make because of the rules of the WTBS. Then I get a headache. Sigh.
Our minds, mine anyway, sometimes wants to relax a bit with idea of the shiny happy people. Then you remember the comfort and support of a group of exJW's...people who made the hard choices, followed their conscience, left what was comfortable and familiar...freedom shines off their faces.
It was a pleasure meeting you and your family. I never did get to hear your story...next time for sure right? What a great bunch of people at the fest! I wanted to sit a talk with each one for hours.
i attended my last meeting in january 2014, having realised that i'd been lied to for 20+ years (i'm now 43 y/o).
rumours spread of my 'apostasy'.. in may, cobe contacted me inviting me to a private meeting with elders at the kh.
(no mention of the meeting being a jc).
Well done. Being in control is the key. When the bros discern no opportunity of discussion, no invitation for their shepherding (barf), it leaves them speechless, and trying to figure out their next move.
Good luck!
i am in my early 30s and woke up to ttatt in late 2012. my dad just turned 65 in june!
wow, i never saw that being possible.. .
he just got himself a computer and was able to get internet in a remote location where he is serving as an elder with my mom (where the need is great) i was happy to see how he was able to send me a few notes saying hi and i was able to share some pictures of my wife and family, etc.. .
So much the same as notes from my mom. They made me so sad to read, almost sick.
As 3rdgen said, it ain't over...there is still a chance. You never know.
i am hearing this more and more and it is like nails on a chalkboard.
i hear it from the wt, from elders, from my parents and from jws in general.
this had to be jehovahs spirit!
This drives me crazy! When something good happens, it's Jehovah's blessing them. When something bad happens, Satan is testing them and the world is so bad.
forgive me for indulging in a goodbye but it would feel wrong not to,.
i hope the discussions and atmosphere here do not change for it is a bubbling brew of doubt, bravery and sincere hunger for answers.
these are healthy ingrediants for humans and especially for a jehovah's witness.. this forum offers not just the ability to ask without consequence, but it also offers the means to be real.
Masel Tov!! I'm so happy for you! What a great accomplishment! Best of everything to you.
two posters that i haven't seen in awhile that i like.
anyone heard from them?
i hope all is well!
Crumpet is alive and doing fantastic on facebook.
and i mean celebrated!
it was a cracking barbecue party for around 40 good friends and neighbours as well as my 'never jw' cousins and one of my brothers and his family.. .
drank a bit too much, embarrassed my kids with some 'dad dancing' and laughed until 2 in the morning.
Happy Happy Birthday Nic!!! Sounds like you had a wonderful time. Clink to many more! :)

watchtower buys former faa training facility in palm coast for $7,025,000the facility was owned by embry riddle and had been leased to the faa.
watchtower plans to use the facility in much the same manner as did the faa.by toby tobinadd a comment palm coast, fl june 30, 2014 watchtower, an entity ofjehovahs witnesses, purchased the former faa training facility in palm coast from embry riddle aeronautical university for $7,025,000.
I wonder if it will be a "high-end" for pay training facility. I'm really curious what this will be used for.
ADCMS, thank you for the correction of the real estate sale figure. Is there a place I can find that? I send this thread and the other recent threads to a JW today. I would love to be able to show them the $1.2 billion figure.
so we've seen as the current gb is getting more facetime in an effort to reach the hearts and minds of the rank and file.
this took a leap with video feeds at an open annual meeting.
the international conventions are taking this a step farther.. do you think that local speakers at kingdom halls could ever be replaced by headquarter approved video feeds?.
I don't think local elders will be replaced per se. But it makes PERFECT sense to broadcast VIP Bethel speakers so peeps can feel all giggly with the privilege.
Also standardizing and broadcasting certains talks makes sense also so everybody is getting the SAME exact message. I believe it will be really useful as the elder pool continues to dry up.
From a corporate/business standpoint, it makes perfect sense to utilize this resource.
