New York's Child Victims Act - What Will This Mean For WTBTS?

august 14th 2019 marks the date that new york state will allow civil litigation for child sex abuse claims against all institutions and individuals for a period of one year, regardless of how long the abuse has occurred.. i'm curious how this will play for wt.. any opinions?.

Why Did You Stay In The JW Religion As Long As You Did?

were you so indoctrinated that you just couldn’t leave?

was it due to family pressure?

was it your friendships that you didn’t want to lose?

I didn't think I was strong enough to live well without my family and friends, therefore I wasn't strong enough.

If I had left when some of my friends did I know now I would have been fine. If I had only trusted in myself more. Outside the religion others said I could do it. I did not believe them.

Just stupid.

it seems to me that with the congregation merging and sell-off that's going on, there are going to be 4 maybe 5 congregations sharing some khs.

I adore Talesin as well. She was already off FB by the time I saw her post saying she would be back. I'm sorry I didn't get a chance to chat with her.

Okay I found her post and it was 6/16, she was at online at the library. And yes she hoped to be back online in the fall.

I think they would draw more people instead of in with a giant blown up picture of horseback ridin' Jesus in the cape along with all the horseback ridin' looking like Kenny Rogers 144,000 thousand! I mean, what a conversation starter!

I was just thinking, I always see a cart in the baggage claim area of LAX. But flying in and out of Reno last week, I didn't see them at the airport. The baggage claim has all the rental car agencies, and hotel info. No desolate blank wall for the JW's to stand by.
