I worry about Randy also. He contacted me about a year ago, but I was in the middle of a situation I could not respond. He was in Texas then. It's been a rough few years for him. He has family, in the midwest I think. I hope things are sorted.
Randy was the guy for a long time. He had the foresight to collect the JW information and had friends all over the world.

From a business standpoint it might be wise for LE to widen out his activist base. He burned part of the bridge in the exJW community IMHO. LE version 5.0.
I watched a little of the interview with the Danish lady, poor dear. It reminded me of my mom, (no voices though), who emotionally just loved "Jehovah/god/Jesus" sooooo much, especially near the end of her life. I'm always torn because she was happy I think in her choices but I always wanted more for her. My issues.
Interestingly he cleaned himself up for these new videos. I think he's scrambling to be relevant in his own mind. He sounds condescending and insincere to me, though he's trying not to, IMO. And the whole "activist/writer/husband/father" line...sheesh.

You know, I've wracked my brain trying to figure out why the corporation was not more protective of children...I mean how can you not!
But with this revelation of Lett, I see now.

Baptists have more in common with JW's than they think
by Terry inhttps://apnews.com/article/baptist-religion-sexual-abuse-by-clergy-southern-convention-bfdbe64389790630488f854c3dae3fd5"leaders of the southern baptist convention, america’s largest protestant denomination, stonewalled and denigrated survivors of clergy sex abuse over almost two decades while seeking to protect their own reputations, according to a scathing 288-page investigative report issued sunday.. these survivors, and other concerned southern baptists, repeatedly shared allegations with the sbc’s executive committee, “only to be met, time and time again, with resistance, stonewalling, and even outright hostility from some within the ec,” said the report.. the seven-month investigation was conducted by guidepost solutions, an independent firm contracted by the executive committee after delegates to last year’s national meeting pressed for a probe by outsiders.. “our investigation revealed that, for many years, a few senior ec leaders, along with outside counsel, largely controlled the ec’s response to these reports of abuse ... and were singularly focused on avoiding liability for the sbc,” the report said.

by cyberjesus inin the 80s there was an bethel elder in the mexico branch, he was graduated along with his wife ruth becerril from gilead school.
he was in charge of meps and the whole computer department... he then started had sex with a 14 year girl in his congregation in the city of texcoco mexico.... he was then df and kicked of bethel but his wife stayed.
he then moved to usa took the girl with him and married her and a couple of years later was re appointed an elder again.. i saw a news article that an elder ex bethelite computer consultant from concord ca with the same name was charged on 1999 by the fbi for having sex with a minor in texas.. both from the same city elders jw and computer consultants.... i wonder what happened with his case..

Does this look like the WT is going to be around a long time? One Watchtower @ One Awake for the public in 2022
by pistolpete ini keep hearing that the watchtower org is going to be around forever because of the many other religions that have been around a long time.
but i disagree because the wt is not like other religious cults.. the watchtower's breath of life is dependent on the last days that started in 1914. .
you can’t change 1914 without a death blow to the entire organization.. the watchtower's 2nd reason for staying alive, is it's continual urging that the life saving preaching work of warning people is the most important work ever.. but- it's very obvious to many, even the old ones that instead of speeding up the work------the work is slowing down to a drip.. comment by former believer; .

The JWs I know like their life as JWs. They have their community and reduced demands on them from corporate. They are quite loving it. The doctrines are of no concern to them. It’s the same o thing they’ve been hearing for years, they tune it out and go to lunch. I think if they experienced a personal issue or tragedy that woke them up maybe they would leave.
But the WT has a good thing going with expert financial advisors. They aren’t going anywhere. They are evolving, which smart corporations do.
