Don't you get it, Dagney?
The angels sent them to you.
Oh yeah, right.
tonight i stop into a local card shop to purchase a bd card and gift bag for a friend on the way to our mutual birthday dinner with my family.
i turn around and run into two sisters from my old hall.
the one i knew was really a very sweet person, and she was soooo excited to see me.

Oh yeah, right.
i don't believe jw teachings anymore.
i don't believe the bible is anything more than a religious text written by men.
i have no reason to believe there's anything beyond the natural world.
Yes I REALLY believed.
Even though a couple of times I had to convince myself all over again with their wacky ridiculous dogma, I was convinced the brotherhood was real. That part was really good for me, until I left.
I took my ministry serious, not that I bought into the notion full times service was a ticket to salvation. But I strived to share the "good news" (NOT!) with someone every day, and had a pretty "fruitful" ministry. Gladly, one of my students is on our page but still calls me her "spiritual mom."
But oh yeah...I believed...as crazy as that stuff sounded. I mean really...the "Babylon" book?

She asked "what hall" I went to. I just told her where I live...I don't mind telling all...but I had to be at a dinner in 10 minutes.
Waddya gonna do? You just have to laugh sometimes.
I immediately had a drink.
does the bible teach that adam was a perfect human?
do any mainstream christian churches hold this teaching of human physical perfection?.
(i know that adam and eve is a myth, but bear with me for the purposes of discussion!
Take away Adam's "perfection" and you take away all that appears to be pouring off that umbrella.
Exactly.
And where is the promise that humans are going to grow back into perfection? The whole JW carrot rests on this story.

If there ever was any doubt that Dagney was really a JW, there shouldn't be now.
I remember a crazy story...she was at my house for a gathering, and i noticed she was eating the entire peanut, including shells. Can you spot the dubism?
It's all in good fun Dagney.
Open Mind
Would that be "gathering?" *sigh*

Only to sing opera.
Sorry. That's the other Nancy Yuen.
Oh. Okay.
one thing that the jws are always proud of themselves over is the idea that they come across individuals that are low in spirits and were praying for help just as they were stopping by in the door to door magazine selling work, thus proving they have god's backing and are being led by angels.
this happened to me sometime recently.
i was out door to door and came across a man that was severly depressed.
How about the person who is in a similarly depressed state is flipping TV channels and he lands on TBS, touches the screen to be "saved" when asked? He feels it was angelic direction just as much.
Happens all the time.
Law of attraction.
for those of you don't know our story sweet pea and i stopped attending all meetings quite abruptly about 4 months ago.
since then we have had a few ill-advised conversations with jw friends and family stating our reasons - sometimes in emails.
also sp emailed a new friend on another forum her experiene with going to a new church.

if there's one person that would grab wt's attention she could.
a representative of the society would get clobbered so the likelyhood is of course nil.of course im just dreaming out loud...lol.
I have heard that Oprah has Witnesses working for her, so I do not know if that would keep her from doing it.I believe I heard this from a talking smurf onetime during the service meeting....
LOL!!!!
