"I should have known" moments
by dubstepped ini got ready for the meeting.
my wife did too.
we drove out to the kingdom hall and the closer we got the higher my anxiety would spike.
-

I'm feeling a little silly. After reading the OP, it just dawned on me that I too had anxiety...many many times turning around and going back home...hoping I couldn't find a parking space, feeling dread as I drove down the street toward the KH.
I think I just would feel guilty about my actions rather than thinking it through and identifying the anxiety which would have led to figuring out the source. Duh.
So glad to be away from all that. Phew.

Rebel and Pete...lol, one can dream how that scenario would play out.
Okay, I see the invite is two-fold including the "special talk" TM. I didn't even look at it yesterday, I guess I'm so disconnected/disinterested. So even though I didn't get it time for the "free event" as its referred to as, I will still be able to learn how to be in paradise with Jesus. phew.
Jake, there is story after story of conditional love from JW family. Just heard another one in person from a visiting family from Australia. I shake my head at the cruelty of it. You will create fabulous mates outside the Borg. It's not so fast or so many, but they are true. Thank you for sharing your story.

Hi Christian and Katja! Welcome! I too enjoy your videos and know they will help many.
We're friend on FB, and it's good to see you here.
I am always wondering, I "had" a very good friend who ended up living in Denmark and became an elder there and raised a family. I saw him a few times before I left and wonder how in the heck he could still be in. I'd like to ask you/Katja if you knew him.
Keep up the great work! x

It was mailed on 3/23, not sure why it took so long. I've lived in this gated complex for eleven years and I thought we were all doomed because I've not had one single attempt at contact.
It was in a hand written envelope, but no accompanying note or letter, which was not how we did letter work in the past. Just an invite thrown in an envelope.
Tech49 has a good point. JW's love to bash the "world" and exJW's with their "blood guilt" bat. The reality is they are such slackers now preaching wise. The message is still stern and condemning in the literature to the flock for just about everything...and emphasis has lessend on the preaching work. It's such a different JW world now, yet the same.
This "dear neighbor" of mine may have thought they were doing their part to avoid blood guilt, and sadly if they thought about it...it makes no sense. The cult mind...ai yi yi.

"M" is for "Memorial"
by OnTheWayOut inmany weeks ago, i apparently put "m" on today's date- wednesday, march 23rd, in my google calendar.
it was supposed to remind me that the memorial that jehovah's witnesses observe would be held today.
i was flipping through my calendar this past weekend and asked my wife "what in the world is 'm' for (that day)?

It's been a few years since anybody contacted me about going to the memorial. That always stresses me a bit because JW's attach soooo much importance to it. I didn't know it was tonight until two days ago. So glad no ruse anymore...it will be just a regular evening.
