James, are you saying they weren't as colorful?
Maybe, they dressed like that for the conventions. I have no idea, but there were some amazing dressers...ladies included...head to toe.
i think he is, but i"m not too sure.
just wondering because looking at that purple pimp outfit with hat that he wore to prince's memorial, i wonder if he ever gave a talk wearing the same outfit, when i've read here that some brothers were talked to for wearing a pastel colored shirt while giving a talk..

Compton was in my circuit. Some people were dressed as this and even more flamboyant. I've seen brothers in head to toe orange, lime green you name it...hat and all. Sisters the same.
I went on Graham's website and I saw he was playing at an Atlantic City casino. I thought that was odd, nothing wrong with it in my book, but still think it's odd for an elder...the "example" s**t and all. Again..doesn't bother me...
Indeed it is. Thank you cofty.

"from 1955 till present, popular music has declined to the point where it is now consistently "stupid" and homogenous.
".
I think there are duds in all generations of music. I adore the American Songbook, but even within that time period there were plenty of inane songs as any other period.
Very few times in history are there such collaborations that make history compared to the number that tries. They say Lennon and McCarthy could literally write a song in half an hour. Same with Carole King. There are some equally talented writers today.
That being said, for me, there is some ridiculous music out there today. But I don't listen to it.
Current music that holds it own...Adele's song choice proves the appeal is more than a powerful voice...the songs/music is great.
the old guy went out with a bang..l.a lakers.
a great career
Laker fan here, with family uber fans. We like Kobe, warts and all. He's a local OC resident. What a game for him to go out on.
Well done Kobe!
Basketball is fun to watch!!! And really exciting to see a good NBA game live.

We know what bullies the WBTS are from our personal experience. They embellish their reputation to the flock, but we know the truth.
Those comments are telling...something we would never normally get to know about.
I get immense pleasure with each public mark against them.
i've left a couple of semi-"humorous" remarks, but not yet said a proper hello....but firstly thank you, to all, for this site and all its comments.i have been lurking on this site for 4-5 years, awake for 5-6 years and seriously fading for the last 4 years.
i am now "out" and widely considered "out" by the congregation but due being very cautious and playing a very long game, (and having a wife who understand the repercussions of blowing the whistle on the few viewpoints i have discussed with her) i have not been df'd of da'd.
this forum has been a crutch and guide as well as helping me wake - and the humour many on here use has been a welcome relief.
Welcome Andy! You've done well so far. It's no easy journey but for some of us we do not have a choice no matter the difficulties.
It's great to have you here. Thank you for sharing your story. Many will read it and understand.
yesterday my wife and i enjoyed one of our regular days out at edinburgh - movie, lunch, walk, meal etc.. in the late afternoon while mrs cofty went shopping i had an hour at the excellent museum of scotland and arranged to meet up outside the national gallery on princes street.
on my way back i saw the jw trolley was at the usual spot on the royal mile.
there was an older man and a young woman standing well back trying hard to look inconspicuous.
Well done cofty.
i thank one of my former lecturers for drawing my attention to this overview.. after some 100 years, living out its "manifest destiny" dream, as the hegemon of the world, what has this 'dream' done to/for the usa?
the approaching presidential election provides an opportunity to examine this question.. and what of all the appendage organisations (like the wts) that rode across the world on the hegemon's coattails?.
the answer may be here: http://www.vox.com/2016/3/1/11127424/trump-authoritarianism.
Really people. What Terry said. ^^^^
This is a huge country and to judge it by what the media decides to put on air for its viewers is pretty dumb.
We have vigilantes and peacemakers here. It's like any country, but really big and with lots of little countries inside of it. It is truly a wild ride.
It will sort out. There are tons of great people here with good motives.
ferris bueller's day off was an huge flick when i was young, and it's a many-layered story.
i was watching this vid, and realized that one reason i love this movie, is that it could be one metaphor for my life.
i took the lead, did it my way, and have had one helluva lot of fun on the journey.
Hey tal! Just got home from work, long story, fighting a very resistant computer virus. I need a little Ferris about now. Heard another friend passed today from cancer, the 3rd in 4 mths.
sending hugs.xxxx
