My girlfriend used to schlep me to all the xmas church fairs each year (Mostly for the home baked pie) and we would have lunch there and question the parishoners about their different religions...what did they believe in, etc. Nobody knew anything! We were always amazed at that...

by mama1119 intoday i was at burlington baby depot registering for my baby shower, stolling up and down the aisles and scanning.
low and behold, down the aisle comes a dub.
as soon as she set eyes on me, she backed out of the aisles as fast as she could, as if i was throwing poop at her.

Why I'm here

I would kick out my husband and start a Pet-Sitting business....and adopt all the strays!!!! Pet sit already for years and know the score. (Very funny about the Zealot religion one) ha ha ha

Class-Questions for JW's
by Emma ina woman i work with is going to a class at her church on how to talk to jw's.
i told her one question to ask when they come knocking is if jesus is their mediator since most dubs don't know he isn't according to their own teachings.. any other simple questions one might ask?.

this pdf-"kit" was sent to us from a friend of ours who is an elder in england who is thoroughly disgusted.
the file is being sent throughout many congregations by email to assist the witnesses with "corrections" for their "revelation" book.

13 billion dollar organization and they can't make a new book? The sad part (or scary part) of all this is that the JW's will buy it. They are told the word comes directly down from God and they will buy it!!!! Most of them, anyway.

Intellectual dishonesty in the New Tract !

on page three when the wts is describing 'false religion' riding on the back of the scarlet colored wild beast - they coyly refer to the beast as ' the world's political powers*'
- the footnote reads " * for a detailed explanation of this subject, see the book revelation - its grand climax at hand published by jehovah's witnesses.

Well, we all know that the message changes from time to time, ever so slightly, or sometimes not so slightly. I'm with the theory that the majority of the Governing Body are, in fact, senile, what with most of them in their 80's and 90's. All I know, is my major questions were not answered or I was LIED to, and had to find the answers myself, so I left. I never in over 40 years thought the "truth" could be so sneaky.

The resurrection of dead pets
by greendawn inwould it be nice if pets also got resurrected to live with their owners once more?
we can try teaching them all the biblical truths but of course they will not understand anything.
however their faithful christian owners may want to see them again.

Well, unfortunatley, there is nothing in the bible about ressurected pets. But it's like the "old" religion some parents taught their children...Pets go over the rainbow bridge...And we will see them. Oh, that would be soooo fab, wound'nt it?
