  In Florida, inmates get strip searched if they are arrested for a felony or drug charge.

  When you have been arrested, you are in jail.

  I'd want to stay out of jail, its a bad place to be.

  If I was in jail knowing that everyone was strip searched would mean there

  was less contraband.

  If they suspect you have something on you, your going to get strip searched.

  Trustees that are short time, they go out and work on the roads and in the parks,

  every day when they come back from work they get strip searched.

  When your booked in you pass thru a metal detector, then you get a wand passed over you,

  Then you get jail clothes and your street clothes are filed away.

  I'm a libertarian and not a fan of the government taking our rights away, but when you are arrested

  you have lost a lot of your rights, best not to get arrested.

  I'm sorry and disgusted to see America become a police state.

  Are you an athiest and why?

  i'm interested in finding out people's reasons as to why they are athiest.. i have simply through life experience, my research into religions over the years come to that conclusion.

  never thought i would come to a day that i did not believe in a god.

  believing in a god is like believing in super man, it would be great if he existed but well it's just a fairy tale.

  I'm an agnostic. I cant prove what God I believe in.

  I like believing there is something more out there, but cant prove it.

  Why are there so many adverts here for mail order brides?

  i swear, i have not been visiting any sites that would tie in.

  if i look up info on, say, a particular auto i expect to be clobbered with auto ads.

  but ads for asian, russian, etc.

  but i guess i finaly had it at the office with religion.

  (there are two dubs and everyone else just throws in comments).

  i guess living the life of a dub for a number of years took a lot of the belief out of me.. i think what threw me the most is when i hear people saying that god is like a parent, a father watching over his children.

  I've noticed when around people if I say something negative many people will try to say something positive,

  and if I say something positive someone will say something negative.

  Overall people try to say something positive.

  People will try to say something positive about God and life, most will not analyze it to the extent many here do, including

  myself.

  They have pills for over analyzing things, paxil, prozac etc.

  At the jail I work at, there is only 1 dub and its not me, and before each shift they hold

  hands and pray to God, thanking him and asking him for protection.

  I never hear anyone analyzing the down side of God. If I ever say something negative about

  God, someone always says something positive.

  For a lot of people beliving in God is like a catalyst to give one strength and energy to make

  it thruough life.

  You have to try to keep it on the good foot.

  most jws that i know of love to drink.. interestingly, i noticed the heaviest drinkers were bethelites..

  i was once a jw from 1995 until 2008. although my childhood i believed till saw the truth for myself.

  i have since became an atheist i felt some hostility from a lot i know.

  so i wanted when and why do you become an atheist..

  I was a born a Jw, escaped at 31 in 1984. Read the bible cover to cover 7 times from age 31 to 55.

  When I was a Jw, I prayed for God to show me the truth, he showed me the truth about JW's.

  Then I continued searching for truth. Read Dawkins, Sam Harris.

  Today I consider myself an agnostic or weak atheist.

  I find what ever I choose to believe, people can make arguments refuting my position.

  Its comforting to think there is a loving caring God, but its hard to intellectually formulate and defend the

  idea. There seems to be an uncomfortable disconnect.

  All my life people have told me I think to much, I guess thinking to much has lead me to the door of atheism.

  Is it too much to ask the "CREATOR" in this technological, scientific age to give us a modern update for his intentions?

  is this a fair question to put to jehovah / yahweh or whoever ?

  in all sincerity i do not mean any disrespect to any beleivers in the god of the bible, but this is a truly remarkable age with communication advances incomparable with 2000 years ago , if the creator or jesus christ were truly interested in giving everybody the chance of everlasting life , wouldn`t they be giving people the opportunity to hear a more current up to date warning now ?

  and not relying on messages in languages that are not in use today and are subject to so many different interpretations ?.

  Today with technology and the internet everybody does have a chance to hear an updated message.

  It's up to you to choose what you want to hear, then enter your request in google.

  God doesnt think for us, we have to pick and choose, what we want and where we are going.

  IF we erased all history... WHAT "truth" would emerge in time?

  i posit that if we put mankind into a state of suspended animation, erased his memory, and removed all traces of recorded human thinking over the ages, that given a few thousand years after his wake-up science and it's principles would have been rediscovered, reaffirmed.

  all the sound principles would be once again discovered and leveraged into powerful technologies along lines similar to those we see today.

  in other words, gravity, thermodynamics, astromony, magnetism, and physics of the universe would eventually be considered 'true', and verifible.
