I do not know. But wiring the money through WEFTS (Watchtower Electronic Transfer System) is standard procedure, it is done over the phone with a very annoying zombie-bethelite sounding voice at the other end with a phone menu. I hear they will be going to computer based soon. I think they already have for literature orders.

The congregations don't pay for their mag usage explicitly. The money collected in the box titled "Worldwide Work" gets wired to the Society every month. That money is supposed to be used for literature etc, so conceivably if a cong. did not contribute anything, that month would be "free". Although I am sure we would hear from the CO very soon. Of course, this has never happened in my experience. BurnTheShips

Well congratulate me. I turned in my "privs" on Sunday. Said I had too much going on lately. I was the accounts servant. Technically I am still an MS until the end of the month.

Did you ever hear any active witness complain or criticize the Org?

it seems to me that all the jw's i knew while going to the meetings, weather they were spiritually strong or weak, never criticized.
they were like real sheep.. i used to always bitch about the length of the meetings and the time of the meetings and so on.....when i drove the brothers back home in my car or talked to them in private.. naturally i would only say this to my closer jw friends or those i knew wouldn't squeal on me.. .

I will have access to a recording that I can digitize soon. I need to get it. It will contain a clear reference to 1975 along with a pretty clear admission of guilt, which I found shocking. And remember, the speaker was GB. Unfortunately, the recording will be in Spanish.

He went right out and mentioned it. Let me add, that although his Spanish pronunciation is excellent (for an Austrian), he is the most boring speaker at a DC I have ever heard. He presented the new book on Saturday, among other things.

Hello everyone. First post here. A full fledged MS in the bOrg in South Florida USA! Yep, you got a live one here! Just got back from this year's DC. I mostly dozed through the final talk of the DC this year. You know, the one with the "Resolution"? The speaker at our DC was GB member Gerrit Lösch, who apparently speaks fluent Spanish. Several JW's mentioned the impressive "new light" in the talk after the DC ended that I did not catch because it was all "blah blah..the end is really soon now!...blah blah-should be grateful for the GB!..blah blah" for three mind-numbing days. Losch brought up 1975 and compared it to a mother being wrong on predicting the day her baby would be born-of course she wouldn't throw out the baby clothes, cribs, etc because of this, she KNOWS the baby is coming! Of course, if a woman is still expecting 30 years later there is something ELSE wrong with this picture. Anyway, I was curious if anyone had access to a recording of final talk of the DC convention for me to listen to since I practically slept through mine when I was not murmuring. English OR Spanish is cool. Time to Burn the Ships.
