not to make light of your pain and confusion but so many here know EXACTLY what you are going through. this is one tough road to walk down.
that being said though, there is so much support here! take advantage of it! keep posting and you will get through this!

Hi - I'm new here too
by dazednotconfused in30 of my 40 some years on this mortal coil have been spent as a witness.
once i was old enough to realize the meetings were not a place to play and run around i understood the gravity of my situation.
"just love jehovah and do his will" i was told.

Told wife that I don't like going to the meeting
by XBEHERE infinally said it out loud even though my actions have been showing it for quite some time.
a fight ensued and now she isn't talking to me.
the wierd thing is when i just didnt go she didn't say much (she hasn't been for over 2 mos for a medical reason) but god forbid i should actually vocalize that i don't want to go... i didn't want to give her any fuel to call me an apostate so i just blamed discouragement and my dislike of the elders which she already knows.

I know how much courage that took just to utter those thoughts alone! good for you! you have every right to your opinion and feelings. give your wife time, let this all digest. I would HIGHLY suggest taking home some flowers or something like that and let her know how much you love her and your family. It'll be really hard for her to stay mad at you.

Men vs. Food: Must we choose between them???

I've been blessed with great metabolism. I LOVE to eat and still stay thin...so I've always found men think it's way sexy that a woman loves to eat. a lot of guys say it's a turn off when women worry about food too much. besides, a lot of guys like a little *meat on the bones* anyhow...

I'm a virgo - I've always been drawn to other virgos - male and female.
Saggitarius- male and female (I seem to have lots of sag friends)
Aquarius - male
Aries - male and female
Capricorn - females
I don't really put too much stock in this stuff but it's been interesting to me to see the patterns in my life. something I find entertaining and would never have done when I was still a witness.

It's my hubby's b-day today. We woke up to a beautiful dusting of snow and lots of time to just chill and go play today.
It's been a great b-day so far. Last night we met up with an old friend of ours from where we used to live. (He's visiting our area) He DA'ed shortly after we left the wits and is doing awesome. We went for dinner and drinks last night and hung out around the town. It was so awesome seeing him again.
So me and the kids will make a great b-day dinner and give him a cool b-day present and of course top it off with b-day cake!

I've had a therapist tell me that she and my stepfather sound like the clinical description of sociopaths
I haven't had any contact with my mom and stepdad for a long time now. I'm a lot more emotionally healthy without them in my life. -

because i felt tremendously at peace when i came to terms with the facts about (what i feel is) the lack of authenticity of the bible and it's status as an inspired book - almost as if the universe was telling me, "just let go.

and yet again, I await for a christian to explain their *experience* to me. I ask for this out of genuine interest - not to argue or disprove anything. I would like to be able to compare it with my own experience (which is very similar to ITIS's) yet for some reason whenever a thread like this starts it seems to me the xian's are no where to be found....
