((((BSofM)))))
I do know the stress you are under. My husband left his job before they could give him the axe (he was the last one in his dept. left after a year and a half of job cuts.) He had an opportunity for some part-time work in his field so he took it knowing he wouldn't have a job soon. It was very PART-TIME if you know what I mean! It was really tough. Our kids were young also and it was hard for me to work a lot.
It works out in the end. Everybody goes through slim times and it's not fun, but it all usually works out in the end.
Keep the resumes flying and something will come through...
I'll be thinking of you guys!
Let me know if there's anything I can do....
btw- what does he do?

last day
by BlackSwan of Memphis inwas today.. he's more upset then he thought he would be.. after nearly 30 years with a company and they just say "see ya".
they've let around 50 people go so far and there are more terminations to come.. we've been scouring the various websites (career builder, monster etc) and the local papers and out of state papers....... ..... just nothin much out there.... thinking out loud tonight he mentioned canada.
not my first choice, only because i'm not a fan of winter to begin with, going more north is not something i'm completely in love with, but at this point.........anywhere he can get a job that pays decently.. he's going to take a test for the postal service.

****But this whole situation clued me into a darker side I ignored. Neither of them are all that nice....*****
you answered all this with your own words. they are little brats! it's so awful to me to see young girls treat people like this!
you will get over this. it will take some time, and you are NOT alone! everyone here on this board is pulling for you and is here to support you. it's easy to fall for someone, anyone, when you feel alone and just want some attention and love. you are going to learn some valuable lessons from all this.
try not to take it too hard, the part about figuring out the opposite sex. I'm 32 and still trying to figure most guys out..... ;)
IMO you are bigger, braver, and smarter than any jw girl deserves. -

yeah for sure. I have one tatt that has a lot of meaning for me and I'm planning at least a couple more. Tattoos are beautiful IMO, and I love studying the history of them.
Dude, for real - you need to chill out.
**Do what you like. It is your body. Unfortunately the rest of us have to look at your permanent selection in its monotonous banality.***
You're right, it is my body. as for the second half of your statement let's just say we're even then. while you have to look at my "permanent selection in its monotonous banality" I get to listen to your monotonous banality here on jwd. ;) -

Lonelysheep read my mind....
I think you may have had a BIGGER regret if you had a child with a jw wife and then had to see that child torn between choosing mom or dad's beliefs.
you really do have time. having a child is wonderful but it's also great being in a good relationship and having that child with someone you really love.
regrets? we all have them to some extent.

Did You See Married Couples Arguing Loud in Public,Kingdom Hall, Anywhere ?
by flipper inhello folks.
i touched on this answering another thread and it made me think.
i remember seeing fairly often married couples at times verbally sparring in public at times in the kingdom hall or parking lot.

been there...seen that....
the majority of witness marriages that I've observed are unhappy ones. not based on true partnership, respect, or love. -

I finally got to meet my family after 20 years!!!!
by FreedomFrog intoday i got to go to the stapleton family reunion.
we as kids didn't get to go to these reunions because, as my parents would say "bad association".

That is so cool! I love that kind of stuff!
I'm so happy for you and your kids. Isn't it amazing how our relatives open us back with open arms no questions asked? That is the REAL example of LOVE!
