Two Jehovah's Witnesses congregations abolished by courts - Russia
by OrphanCrow intwo jehovah's witnesses congregations abolished by courts.
today, 11 february 2016, an administrative lawsuit by the prosecutor of belgorod province for finding the local religious organization of jehovah's witnesses in the city of belgorod to be extremist and liquidated was granted by decision of the belgorod provincial court.
yesterday the provincial court issued a decision on the administrative lawsuit of the provincial prosecutor for liquidation of the local religious organizations of jehovah's witnesses in the city of stary oskol.. the above quote is from one of 5 articles at link.. the fourth article, doctors in court: "jehovah's witnesses died after refusing blood transfusions", gives a synopsis of the hearing in the belgorod provincial court on feb 8.. two doctors were summoned into court as witnesses in order to learn whether religious convictions have affected the state of health of jehovist patients and whether they could be the cause of the death of patients.

Latest rumor - all WT construction "suspended", except for Warwick
by sir82 inheard 4th-hand, but from a full-on believer, so not likely to be an "apostate lie":.
apparently, at bethel's morning worship this morning, it was announced that all worldwide wts construction is "suspended" for an indefinite time, except for the new world headquarters at warwick.. also, the "relocation" of remote translating teams is also suspended.. finally, there will be a "worldwide" reduction in bethel personnel.. all this came to me in a non-english language, and,as noted, 4th-hand.
so it is possible something may have been lost in translation and/or in the multiple steps between bethel morning worship & me.. but if true, it would be quite stunning.

about two weeks ago I was talking to a brother who had just come back from Warwick. He was there to help out with the tile work. That is what he does in the real world. He told me that some times they had to do a job 2 or 3 times before it was up to standards. I thought, isn't this what you do for a living. Then I thought, maybe it is all of the incompetent help that you are given to do the project.
Just think if all of the work has to be done 2 or 3 times before it is done correctly.

Deconstructing Splanes 'Generation' explanation
by Splash inat around 4 minutes into the september 2015 video splane said "for the man and the baby to be part of josephs generation they would have had to have lived at least some time during joseph's lifespan.".
this is the lynchpin of the wt argument, that two lives must overlap to be considered the same generation.. let's take an example of twins who are born just a few minutes apart.
obviously, these twins are the same generation as each other.

I think that I am going to read the book "Generation for Dummies". That should clear things up. -

Stats of conventions in Mexico
by ILoveTTATT2 ini just went to a convention in mazatlan, mexico.. i had wanted to do this for a very long time, it left me shaken a bit (because i had a confrontation of sorts with one jw who recognized me), but i got some stats that give some insight into the borg.
it really is crumbling, even in the places where they have arguably had the best, wildest success in the world: mexico.. just so you can see how much they have success in mexico compared to the us or anywhere else:.
top three countries in 2014 were:.

Can we all remember when Japan was the poster child for growth? Now, they are just as flat as all of the other countries. The Watchtower plays this smoke and mirrors with the true believers. Most of the ones that are brain washed will still tell you just how much growth there is in these other areas and not realize that the stagnation they see in their own hall is representative of what is going on around the world. 'Jehovahs is weeding out the congregations'. Or maybe people are waking up -

This is what I thought. The new LDC is nothing other than just send more money committee. -

Just last month we had the elders give us our "local needs" part and told us about the mortgage payment that we will never pay off. The, they told us that there is $3,000 in our local account so they decided that anything over $1,000 at the end of every month would also be sent to New York. No mention of the $100,000 that was sent back there a few years ago when we were told to send our money to their banking system instead of keeping it local.
I have to laugh at all of the people that have been diligently donating to the local kingdom hall in the hope that we could get some improvements done on our hall. There are 5 congregations meeting in our hall and in the local area there are 6 kingdom halls in similar situations. The LDC was supposed to be this great new thing that would bring us relief. HA HA HA

The new RBC now called the LDC. Sold to us as new and improved RBC. Working with all of the congregation funds after we sent them all back to New York and what have they done. When I saw the video, on JW.org, of areas that need Kingdom Halls there was a big circle in our area and I just knew that we would get something. Then I started thinking, what if they just repave our parking lot, then I thought maybe if they just paint the lines in our parking lot. Maybe, if they just do something to show some love.
Has anyone seen any projects started or completed by the LDC? Does the LDC actually exist? Does anybody know of any of the members of the LDC?

priorities
by drawcad_1 inis it just me or is the focus on building projects.
i read through the study for this weekend and all of the focus was on new building construction.
i was waiting for them to talk about the ministry, and it was in there, but not as the main priority.. i am amazed after visiting an old congregation of mine back in new england just how few (none) of the publishers had helped out on the new headquarters.

Good comments and ideas. I can see how the money train is slowing down.

CYA is very important for them. I listened to the letter that was read just recently on contributions that was mentioned in a previous post and you could almost hear the groan from the audience. As if they were saying, 'not again'.
Now it seems the new construction work in New York and consolidation in other areas is gaining priority. Many experiences in the Watchtower of how Brothers and Sisters made adjustments to new areas or new assignments and 'how they did not complain about Jehovahs arraignment'.
While all of this effort is going on we are not even on the list this year to be considered for a new Kingdom Hall in our area. We now share ours with four other congregations. Just before the new arraignment for the RBC we were on a short list, now maybe a little work on the outside of our hall.
I will read the article on the fall of religion later. Thanks for the information.
