God says no
So, be prepared to accept other things when God says YES.
child murder, sodomy & corrupting the human genome are not new sins, they are old ones.
what is new is their institutionalization.
but even that isn't totally new.

I have been trying to help snap you out of your fundamentalist funk, Perry. You really are reaching out for help when you share this crap. Do not worry so much about the kind of sex and relationships that other adults are having, and realize that many of the biggest "freaks" out there have been Christians.
If you don't like a society where personal freedom comes ahead of appeasement of Christians, then isolate yourself or get used to it because I would say that in America, people are starting to figure out that they shouldn't follow the morality of the Bible.
Personally, your latest rant disgusts me in that it reveals such a narrow view.
i am looking for some songs that are in ref to celebrating leaving, seeing the light, realizing what you were told wasnt right, being happy w your life, etc etc.
all those emotions about being controlled and repressed, being told what you can feel or think or how to live, blindly following the "brotherhood ".

"I'm Moving On"
i really enjoy hearing about other people's lives.
feeling a little lonely this evening so please tell me if you have plans for the summer months.
i may go to some outdoor theatre with my daughter who's home from uni; with a picnic and a bottle of wine.
On July 6th, I will embark on a journey with "Zed is Dead" from the southern Lake Michigan area across the northwest in a Jeep convertible through the Dakota Badlands, Mount Rushmore, Yellowstone Park in order to spend 3 days in Lake Tahoe with Flipper's Apostafest, then head back and stop at Bryce Canyon in Utah.
It's only 9 days but it'll be the highlight of my summer.
I'm ready to go, just have to take the pile of stuff in my attic and put it on a cargo rack on the Jeep.
I know that reality is that they are not highly motivated to "advertise, advertise, advertise" their message and people are not likely to be drawn to their trolley. I know that reality is that Watchtower doesn't necessarily want them to give away a bunch of literature and this latest method is mostly for keeping the members feeling they are still doing God's work.
I just wonder if there's a secondary plan to use the "apathy" of people as evidence that "the love of the greater number has cooled off" and the end must be seconds away.
a car group out in service stopped by.
we don't even live in the territory, not even close.
we happened to be outside with the kids playing.

Goodbye Stranger
It was an early morning yesterday
I was up before the dawn
And I really have enjoyed my stay
But I must be moving on
Like a king without a castle
Like a queen without a throne
I'm an early morning lover
And I must be moving on, yeah, yeah
Now I believe in what you say
Is the undisputed truth
But I have to have things my own way
To keep me in my youth
Like a ship without an anchor
Like a slave without a chain
Just the thought of those sweet ladies
Sends a shiver through my veins
And I will go on shining
Shining like brand new
I'll never look behind me
My troubles will be few
Goodbye, stranger, it's been nice
Hope you find your paradise
Tried to see your point of view
Hope your dreams will all come true
Goodbye, Mary, goodbye, Jane
Will we ever meet again?
Feel no sorrow, feel no shame
Come tomorrow, feel no pain
Sweet devotion (Goodbye, Mary)
It's not for me (Goodbye, Jane)
Just give me motion (Will we ever)
To set me free (Meet again?)
In the land and the ocean (Feel no sorrow)
Far away (Feel no shame)
It's the life I've chosen (Come tomorrow)
Every day (Feel no pain)
So goodbye, Mary (Goodbye, Mary)
Goodbye, Jane (Goodbye, Jane)
Will we ever (Will we ever)
Meet again? (Meet again?)
Now some they do and some they don't
And some you just can't tell
And some they will and some they won't
With some it's just as well
You can laugh at my behaviour
And that'll never bother me
Say the devil is my saviour
But I don't pay no heed
And I will go on shining
Shining like brand new
I'll never look behind me
My troubles will be few
Goodbye, stranger, it's been nice
Hope you find your paradise
Tried to see your point of view
Hope your dreams will all come true
Goodbye, Mary, goodbye, Jane
Will we ever meet again?
Feel no sorrow, feel no shame
Come tomorrow, feel no pain
Sweet devotion (Goodbye, Mary)

To set me free (Meet again?)
In the land and the ocean (Feel no sorrow)
Far away (Feel no shame)
It's the life I've chosen (Come tomorrow)
Every day (Feel no pain)
So now I'm leaving (Goodbye, Mary)
Got to go (Goodbye, Jane)
Hit the road (Will we ever)
I'll say it once again (Meet again?)
Oh, yes, I'm leaving (Feel so sorrow)
Got to go (Feel no shame)
Got to go (Come tomorrow)
I'm sorry, I must dash (Feel no pain)
So goodbye, Mary (Goodbye, Mary)
Goodbye, Jane (Goodbye, Jane)
Will we ever (Will we ever)
Meet again? (Meet again?)
Oh, I'm leaving
I've got to go

The Logical Song by Supertramp
When I was young, it seemed that life was so wonderful,
A miracle, oh it was beautiful, magical.
And all the birds in the trees, well they'd be singing so happily,
Joyfully, playfully watching me.
But then they sent me away to teach me how to be sensible,
Logical, responsible, practical.
And they showed me a world where I could be so dependable,
Clinical, intellectual, cynical.
There are times when all the world's asleep,
The questions run too deep
For such a simple man.
Won't you please, please tell me what we've learned
I know it sounds absurd
But please tell me who I am.
Now watch what you say or they'll be calling you a radical,
Liberal, fanatical, criminal.
Won't you sign up your name, we'd like to feel you're
Acceptable, respectable, presentable, a vegetable!
At night, when all the world's asleep,
The questions run so deep
For such a simple man.
Won't you please, please tell me what we've learned
I know it sounds absurd
But please tell me who I am.
would it really affect them?
how would it affect volunteers at any construction project since that work would now be taxable.
any materials they buy would be taxable.
As Terry said on page 1, if Scientology is tax exempt, Watchtower is safe. I think it would only happen if they went after all of religion. It could happen one day.
Meanwhile, they could go after Watchtower in pieces- ending full time volunteering for Watchtower, charging taxes on donations from the "sale" of literature, disallowing tax write-offs to members for various things, maybe even cracking down on traveling overseers and green handshakes.
Most of the above, I doubt very much.
