Blondie, I doubt it would work in the JW case. No judges or governmental authorities will believe that Watchtower is just a network of flat broke congregations. I am hesitant to even believe that's what this is about, but then I remember what kind of geniuses are running Watchtower. I mean, coming up with "overlapping generation" was utter nonsense, so it just might be similar.

Has anyone thought of the spin that the "society" will put on bethel layoffs?
by Lied2NoMore infirst, how about a joke?.
what do you call someone who just turned apostate?.
im thinking sometime in the future the society will put a spin on what is happening similar to what has been done in the past.. they will say apostasy once again reared its ugly head in the organization and layoffs was the only way to "cleanse" the organization.. once disgruntled ones begin to use their voice, they will be forced to strike back with some spin to make all those who have the guts to complain look like they were the problem.. good theory huh?.

Satan is putting an extra effort into turning people away from true worship and all these problems will make what Jehovah does in response appear even more miraculous. -

You know, they just might want Australia and the hordes of lawyers with legitimate lawsuits to think they are broke.
Even if that's the case, this needs to be capitalized on. If they want people to think they are broke, then the members should be questioning them and whether God's protection is upon them. -

The new changes is a clear indication that we are one step closer to the end...
by RobertT18 inthat was today's topic over a group chat of my cong's young jbots.
apparently the rumors are circulating everywhere i go, even people from the spanish congs are talking about it.
what's really sad is that the majority of people are already seeing this as "clear" signs of the end coming.

Signs that the end is near:
A black U.S. president
Tsunamis and earthquakes killing thousands
Stock market up / Stock market down
Worldwide financial uneasiness
The end of the Soviet Union
International Year of Peace
Gay marriage
Watchtower is going broke
The love of the greater number cooling off
Good news
Bad news
New PopeSeriously, I found myself in a group of my wife's JW friends and they kept saying how there couldn't possibly be 20 years left "in this system." It takes awhile to wake them up out of that mindset, and most never wake up.

I know you. You definitely can remove the word "might."

My take is, that we should not apply our, sometimes bleeding heart qualities*** and project them onto the creator.
Well, I will agree because, apparently, I and most others are better than this creator.

Prologos, if you are hung up on the word, use "asshole." Children did not have a say in where their parents should live, and we could use children in the Haiti earthquake or those with birth defects if you want to drop the coastal Indonesia part. -

Meditation linked to increased age, health, and smarts?
by EndofMysteries ini recently read how advanced meditation increases the brains waves, higher frequency alpha waves which is linked to higher state of consciousness and intelligence.
now i saw this article, http://www.cnn.com/2014/07/10/health/can-meditation-really-slow-aging/index.html?hpt=hp_c3 that it also increases life and health, etc.
i haven't really read or researched meditation but i was wondering if anybody has got into it, into a 'non religious' aspect of it.

I feel that formal meditation is not for everyone. But, rather, that meditation can be found in listening to music, playing an instrument, knitting, lying on a beach reading a book, working out or running or climbing. The mind can enter a phase of focus or non-focus, depending on you and your needs. -

What is God like?
If He has the power to prevent it, then the death of tens of thousands of children in a tsunami shows that He is a bastard.
I could go on, but you get the point.

The Org's Chariot Rolls On - Over the Top of People!
by The Searcher ininformation just received from a reliable source.. here is an example of how the org's "expansion" is being carried out in 3 continents: .
japan - special pioneers under age 50 are being told they will now only be regular pioneers.barcelona spain - the regional translation (catalan) office is being closed.mexico - special pioneers being told they will only be regular pioneers - no age specified on this one.. the scene of the org's world is changing - rapidly!.

This is long overdue, even if it is for the wrong reasons. I agree that those at the top should set the example. Theyve all sponged of the r&f for far too long.
Special pioneers are definitely not "the top." Even if paid recruiters (at a low rate) is wrong with you, can you see how this is stabbing your "family" in the back? Bethelites and special pioneers are people that were told they would be rewarded for their efforts and most sacrificed doing real jobs that would allow them to save or at least put credit toward social security. WTS took their best then kicks them to the curb years later.
