i drove by a house today in north long beach and what did i see?

you guessed it!

3 on 3 team basketball and the uniforms were nothing less than dress pants, dress shoes and a tie!.

'counting time'
If they played with at least one worldly person, they were displaying love, harmony, normalcy of JW's. Once I started doubting, I learned to count time just like many pioneers do. I would count one hundred percent of game time, now. In the past, I would have counted zero.

i came home to find two sisters standing in my driveway.

they looked at the signs on my car (i do house watching for snow birds here in fl) and wanted to know how to get into the business.

and after i explained all that i said "its a really good business if you are pioneering.

It had to be dubs. At my wedding, some folks were doing the same thing. Nobody tore their tux, as far as I know. (Rented anyway)

i am in the process of writing a letter to my mothers sister (aunt) about the un/watchtower fiasco.

my aunt will not speak to my mother or father because they are d'fed (for the un/watchtower fiasco).

however, i guess she thinks that i am a weak link and she sent me a letter, basically, stating the same thing that all jw's say in defence of the watchtower.

Way to go. I was talking to the wife on the way home from the Circuit Assembly. The CO goes on and on about how we don't need an education. I have a good education and the wife has an excellent one, earned while she was a JW. We both feel that kids should get one.
Anyway, she questioned his statements. I reminded her how she used to frown upon me questioning the Borg, how I needed to be careful. She's so strong on this issue that she said "Perhaps the CO doesn't know all the issues." I asked her if that was the CO's original thoughts or perhaps the Governing Body?
It's great to make some headway with a confirmed assimilated one.

Thank you all for the lively input. Let's close this chapter unless someone has something new to add on the subject started.
As I previously stated, this is highly questionable whether they do it, further questionable whether it works.
If you want to believe, along with me, that Rutherford (or someone) decided to use the hypnotic method in home studies and at meetings, many people will doubt you. They will say that we are taking a description of a wild theory and making it fit the reality, just like the WTS does with their "prophecies" (which they say they don't do.)
If you choose to believe that they don't use the hypnotic method, you are probably in the majority. But I hope you consider the possibility of evil within the JW organization. If they are misleading folks with crazy doctrine, it's not a long stretch to say they are using intentional methods, or maybe they are sincere, but wrong. Who knows.
I hope readers have seen both sides of the issues.
