Excellent post subject, Minimus.
Truly, whether you are questioning the org or are involved in a violation of the rules, steer clear of the elders.
if you were ever brought before a judicial committee, and were about to be interrogated by the elders, just remember...you owe them nothing.
they are mere men and no better than you!
even if it wasn’t a judicial interrogation , you should never feel obligated to them.

in stephen letts annual meeting talk he spent about 15min.
talking about how the garden of eden compares to our spiritual paradise that we are currently inhabiting.
he didn't mention the earthly paradise until the very last sentence.
Physical Paradise is a core concept. They won't ditch it. Its just that they want to keep bracing the members for unrealized expectations, so they may not get Paradise soon, but they already have spiritual Paradise.
wt study october 2018. maintain inner peace despite changing circumstances.
lloyd and alexandra learn that they have been reassigned to the field, they at first felt sad.
after all, they had been serving at bethel for over 25 years.
Bethel layoffs in the earlier 2000's were what pushed me over the edge at actually looking to the internet for what is wrong with Watchtower.
Its the Bethel "family." I thought they should have found a way to keep people and just not ever bring new ones in uf old ones were getting the boot. Send them out of the printing press to do something, but feed and shelter them.
will it be the complete and utter mismanagement of child abuse issues due to a total disregard for children and not wanting to bringing reproach upon corporate jehovah's name?.
or will it be some other thing?
i strongly think the governing body's days as g. o. d. are numbered due to their complete incompetence to rule a corporation, brought on by a big and getting bigger shadow, and a persistent denial of anything negative about their corporation's claims to be god's earthly organization.
they sold off 2 billion $$$ worth in real estate holdings
But they cannot do that again and again, and they will keep selling Kingdom Halls as their numbers shrink. That has limits.
I doubt the core faithful will walk away because of any mismanagement or GB actions. They will possibly die off as numbers continue to decrease- because recruitment of outsiders and retention of the children is way down and will never recover because of the internet. Or maybe when there are few left, the GB will take their leave to some tropical island compound, leaving instruction for all to fend for themselves.
i am writing the post i have wanted to write for some time.
it's a heartfelt note to those still attending meetings, still caught between the lines of watchtower and the world.
those with kids or a spouse in the society..... despite being mentally out....those who have weighed up that there is too much to lose in leaving.
I want to say that we actually do understand that it is tough to walk away and fundamentally change your kids' lives, their friendships and possibly their family communication.
If its just you, decide for yourself. But if you think keeping your kids in so they don't lise contact with Grandma and their cousins, stop and really think about it. There is so much that a JW child must miss out on. It has hurt for awhile, but its going to hurt more if they leave as young adults.
That's all.
whatever we think of it, you have to admit that it's quite "genius".. the door to door ministry as done in western developed countries where the jw quirky religion has probably reached their saturation level was a complete and utter waste of time in terms of the effort expended to recruit people.. at the same time, it was rarely something that anyone enjoyed which led to people being labelled as inactive, being pressured to doing more and maybe ultimately deciding jwism wasn't for them and leaving.. there was also the issue that many jws are actually pretty bad at knowing and articulating their beliefs so were pretty incapable of getting any meaningful message across.. they solved all this with the cart witnessing.
the real point isn't to recruit, it's to make life easier for jws.
now they can stand and chat with their friend, have a coffee, not talk to anyone or make eye contact and still act as a walking billboard for jw.org.

JW's have their persecution complex that makes them feel like the organization is RIGHT, and they are attacked by Satan's world because they are RIGHT.
So yeah, anything negative at all is an attack of rudeness (or worse) despite whatever they say against the Catholic Church or any other religion being far worse.
the truththe society.
the friends...you remember.
Jehovah's earthly organization
True Christians
i was a thriving regular pioneer, doing all thr things wholeheartedly, had 16 bible studies, 7 attending meetings regularly, 11 magazine routes and 100's of rv's.
you can imagine i was always runnin out of literature and always a good list of books to order every month.
(not bragging, just stating facts.all this is wasted anyway).
Well, he probably did you a favor contributing to your wake up.
I remember the KH needing a new literature person for 4 congregations. The elders in another cong. did not want me to do it because they enjoyed their first dibs on literature. As it turned out, they kept the lion's share of stuff that came in. If they wanted wgat somone else ordered, they would just take it and re-order it, sometimes doing it again and again for special requests.
I never got the job, they kept it with one of their guys. I told them what I thought of their ways, and that only made things worse
today while out running errands, i was flipping through the radio trying to find something to listen to.
i ended up on some christian type of station, and the guy was talking about the ark, and the flood during noah's time.
personally i no longer believe this fable, because the facts just don't line up.
They only had story-telling way back. By the time they learned how to write it down, the stories were some real whoppers. Think Genesis and the book of Enoch, but also all mythologies had huge stories.
I think, just as we know today's movies are fictional, people tended to know stories were fiction back then. But that was somehow forgotten as the telling went on. Imagine some of our modern "based on a true story" or "inspired by actual events" movies becoming the accepted history in the future...or even worse- pure fiction is believed to be true. Think ABRAHAM LINCOLN- VAMPIRE SLAYER.
Let me indulge on another silly idea you WILL hear. There were baby animals and just dinosaur eggs on the ark. Or there were actually 3 arks, but the tale got simplified. One ark landed at Australia and the ark with dinosaus sank in some battle of faith. The third had Noah and the animals of Europe, Asia, Africa....and they walked a land bridge to the Americas. Can you see a great story-telling out of that?
