i waited almost 6 months, then realized i could smoke because there wasn't anyone to tell me what i can and can't do, so if i wanted to, i could smoke......so i did.
it wasn't long until i began to regret doing that.

Who's giving out candy this Halloween?
by Cognitive_Dissident inyeah, so this year, for the first time ever, ever, ever, my roommates and i are having a halloween party, and there will be much candy given out to the small army of children on our block who will no doubt be trick or treating.
i'm really looking forward to it.
has anyone ever thought of getting all costumed up on halloween and then hitting all of the elder's houses?

I still can't work out why anybody JW or not would want to celebrate this event. Not everything labelled as 'fun' is necessarily 'fun' ...
Encouraging kids to go around the neighbourhood asking for sweets and wearing stoopid death costumes is retarded and holds no real meaning. It is not as if most people actually understand the origin of this event and if anything, the modern day incarnation is nothing but a means to an end for marketing people.
I sometimes think ex-JWs jump head first back into Christmas & Halloween as way of flicking a V sign at the WatchTower Society. Kind of like the way I said f ** k you and smoked a cigar a few years ago, just to break the mental chains, but my rebellion had nothing to do with truth, but more to do with a cathartic exercise of taking back control.

i said what i meant, and i do mean it.. but i can't imagine it has to be this way.

I'd rather not answer, because they wouldn't like me, they would just try to persuade me that concepts I used to believe are still truth. I also have given up trying to persuade individual witnesses of my alternative vision - too much wasted energy.

MY SON WAS ATTACKED!
by Dansk inyesterday afternoon my older son, karl, who is studying musical production at brighton university, came round to see his family.
he had just been to see his pregnant girlfriend, who is staying with her mum and dad for a week.. karl is a wonderful boy; the type of son any parent would be proud of.
he is loving, considerate, respectful and has never once caused any trouble or been in any.

Regarding Mace & Pepper Spray ... over here, in this police state, it is classed apparently as a " fire-arm ". A friend of mine had his house raided when the police learnt that he carried it around with him and took him down the station. He avoided charges, but they seized his equipment.
It is very effective against small groups of people. He had a NATO issued device and that thing could easily control several people with one sustained blast. There can be "blow back" - but if you use it carefully, it is effective as a control device and very painful for the recipient(s). When he travelled across Romania he was hassled in the street for money and used it on two adult males. Apparently they hit the deck like a sackful of spuds.
But like anything, if we arm ourselves, they arm themselves, and God only knows how horrible it would be to be caught up in a pepper spray fight !

Just to clarify my position - at present, I do not believe that CT Russell was an active FreeMason and I do not believe that other governing body members were active FreeMasons. I do believe that Russell had an interest in the teachings of FreeMasonry and chose to use symbols classically connected to this group, to represent his own belief system.
Regarding the WTBTS ... I think their members are controlled drones (quite obviously) - but I'm not convinced that they knowingly work hand in hand with the higher authorities or even fully understand the inner workings of the current political system. Yet, by compliance, maybe they become ineffectual agents of change and in a way, work for our cruel masters?
That scripture in Romans CH13 concerning our obedience to these God appointed authorities upon the earth often nags at me. If these authorities are appointed by God and their method of administration is brutal and murderous, why should we obey them and what does that say about God?
Could it be that those scriptures were designed as a method of control by the controllers themselves?

I agree that the system is flawed, but so has every other system been, hence the continual evolution.

You see, I'm starting to see things differently. I used to believe that we were evolving more efficient forms of government as time went by. But I now see that the ancients, possibly beyond our current records and certainly WAY beyond our current understanding were far more sophisticated and spiritually tuned in, than most give them credit for.
I don't see primitive apelike men when I look back - I see an advanced race of humans, empowered with intuitive skills that most of us can only dream of.
Of course, its fine if you see me as delusional, I don't mind. This is my working hypothesize and I know this concept rallies against popular thought, but I've never been one to accept what the world would have me believe.
When the disks land, take a look at some of the information on DVD 2 regarding ancient structures and you may catch my drift. I could not post them today, so will post them next week. They will be with you soon.
