  Saw Iron Man on Sunday. Not being familiar with the Marvel comics character, I had no expectations, except Robert Downey Jnr. I like him as an actor. The movie ran at a good pace, the baddies were evil, and clever too.

  I enjoyed it. Lots of Audi's in it. Or was that my imagination????

  Your JW Baptism

  i was 16 years old when i got baptised - 1992 - it was at one of the two day assemblies.

  only a few of us got baptised.

  i pulled out the pictures - there i stood proudly with a friend of mine in our cosies (shirts over) towels wrapped around us.

  Got baptised at 24yrs old. Good day, sun shining, In fact it was scorching hot! Assembly at Nasrec Exhibition Centre +-1990/91. Was a 3 day assembly so there must have been thousands baptised that day. I was lucky that I was one of the first to go for a dip (was a hot day after all) because the water turned milky after a while. At least it was clear blue when I went in. ;)

  Still got the pics. The brother in the pic with me was df''d and then reinstated, lost contact...who knows where he could be now.

  Also expected a bit more from the experience, but as LouBelle said, happy that it was over and that I was moving 'up' the JW ladder. Now I can be a Ministerial servant see? Looking back, I did notice the last two baptism questions was a bit 'odd'. But I went along with it. If only.....

  Need your support now more than ever

  hello guys!.

  as you know, my wife woke up about a month and a half ago.

  recently, by "mistake", we talked with her mother, (a hard-core believer) some details that we shouldn't at this moment.

  Not a nice situation at all, and your mom thought she was doing the 'right thing' of course. My situation is similar, my dad is the PO, and my mom is upstanding JW.

  My prayers are with both of you. You will be protected along the way.

  But cross the bridge when you get to it. Maybe nothing will happen.....

  I admire your courage to talk to everyone here, and your desire to protect your mariage.

  Please stay and look at the information that is presented. Do not be afraid of knowledge. The society tell us not to search for answers. That the internet is full of apostate thinking. But think on this.... The WB&TS has taught us to convince the people we meet in field service to study with us. If they object we say that it would be foolish not to find out what their Church has done wrong in the past, and to be open to new information.......it should apply to active witnesses too.

  Always get to hear all the sides of the story before you dicide what to believe.

  I hear up to 14, but then it as almost inaubable buzzing. My kids have that ringtone, and Mrs Smith hears it clearly. She actualy complains that its painful.

  I heard that a shopping centre in Australia (I may be wrong) transmitted 17khz+ in their parking area to stop the teens from loitering. It worked very well too.

  Why Jehovah Witnesses teach a more biblical faith

  surprizeingly, i am not a jw but an observer and in partial agreement with the jehovah witnesses on many issues.

  i have been to many churches in my 30 years and have studied many church beliefs, church history and the bible as well.

  so why do i believe the jehovah witnesses are the one true faith of jehovah god?.
