for one i wrote down in my note book words like "faithful and discreet slave", gb, organization, fruits of the spirit, jesus, and put a check mark next to each time i heard one of them, (just like when we were kids guys!).

Cool, I would like to do the same, but play a word BINGO game. Best played with a few people. When your "Faithfull and discreet slave" comes up, you cross it off your list. 1914, Field service, etc. All the words and terms that are bound to show up. When you get all of them on your list, you must jump up and cry "BINGO!!"

That should be a laugh.

one of my wife and my lurking jw friends sent us this article which has some very pointed words in it inciting all jehovah's witnesses to take an even harder line view of apostates in this recent april 15th wt.. on pg.

Just the amunition my family needed. I can hear the conversation now.: "Agent Smith was critical of the Governing Body, and of the elders. So he is just like Satan. Isn't it wonderful to have this food at the proper time regarding apostates? The Governing body and the Faithful slave knows what we need and they show us what to do. Does it not warm the heart?"

Did Adam & Eve have bellybuttons?

Yes they did, but I am not sure of what importance it could be. Adam and Eve I think represents creation in general. If there was a man called Adam, or if the story means 'man' (Population = Lots & Lots) open to discussion too.

Why do men have nipples?

Now I have to go back a few years but It was once explained to me as follows:

When we are concieved we get issued with EVERYTHING! As we develop the x and Y chromosone starts to influence development, not sure at what stage but not immidiately anyways. When the foetus is ready for the sex to be decided, the nipples get no plumbing on the boys, but the girls do. Sexual organs the same, boys and girls have the same equipment at first.. hormones etc influence who gets what.... sounds weird even now.

Can someone verify that?

Letter to my in-laws regarding shunning over Easter period.

over the easter period my family and i took a well deserved break.

we travelled to our hometown to celebrate my parents' 40th wedding anniversary.

however, the treatment we experienced from my in-laws was totally appalling.

Are You Surprised That Some "Intelligent" People Still Are Witnesses?

i know some very sharp men and women that remain as jws and that perplexes me at times.

i even know of a jw whose daughter got molested by her jw ministerial servant uncle and she still believes this is the "truth", even though she took her family member to court and won!.

i don't get it..

Yes. My father is a graduate, and he still a PO. I don't get it either. Maybe its the admiration and honour he gets from being the 'big elder'. I saw it, he loves the pedestal he is on.

with 70% of the rest I will buy apartments, and rent them out. Retirment and investments sorted in one go. 30% for maintanance and sundries...
