it also has to be english or german orgin.

Liam, Declan, Renton...

I also like Vincent...

May be a bit partial as these are my sons names.

Isn't the light supposed to be getting brighter?

ask any jw about the flip-flops in doctrine, and within a few moments, you'll be hearing about proverbs 4:18, the one about the "path getting brighter".

i.e., "our understanding has increased, so we had to make an adjustment.".

i was just thinking about the last major changes in jw doctrine over the past dozen years or so...does this sound like light getting "brighter"?.

up until 1995 i was worried that armagedon would come before i went back to the meetings but the new light on the generation lifted a weight off my shouler.Being brought up a jw and knowing how 1914 and the generation then armagedon were so doctrinal then the wtbts doing a backflip proved how uninspired they are.

So if it hadn t been for the new light then i may still be waiting for armagedon

God bless the new light may it shine brighter and brighter

Tell me more...I get all the episode info for eastenders on their site but can't seem to find anything on coronation street. We are about a year behind here I thin, last ep I watched last night was Shelley caught Charlie in pub with some woman, and then asked him to marry her. . Stupid!!!. Also like Family Affairs but I think it has finished.

I am sooo sad!!!

I almost want to be vengeful and send this reply to all my relatives that aren't in the truth and who almost don't believe me. That wouldn't be very christian of me though would it?

And what they are doing is???

If it were me...I'd say...buggar it!

Send the reply. Show this religion up for what it is. The only one that turns on their own, regardless of the consequences and who they hurt. Then sit back and let them justify to their relatives their pathetic reasons for not speaking to you.

hubby and i got on the topic last night.

he was wondering what i was eating- a frozen jello pudding cup.

i remember getting them at the assemblies, especially the hot summer district assemblies.

out of interest did any one go to bowes rd in london i believe its demolished now

not a jw now but must admit that growing up in 70s was fun as jw real community feel now it is sterile and uninviting

My name is mark.Myself and my wife both dissassociated ourselves last week we were both brought up jws.We have not fallen foul of jws teachings or laws but because we were inactive we were both treated like rubbish by my family.We live in the same town as my family my father is the po.I have done more for my parents then any other of my brothers or sisters.I have five children.

My mother put a letter in my letterbox stating that if i wanted to be part of there family then i would have to return to jehovah.

All i can say is it does get better with time.The longer you are out of jws the more normal life becomes.Jws are not normal it isnt normal to ignore your own flesh and blood family comes first.

I strongly believe that jws will be almost extinct in 20 years as the older ones die out.

Family play such an important role in our life so to lose your family is sad.If you remain sad then jws will be happy its the told you so mentality.

Good luck getout there live life it will take time maybe a long time but at the end of the day you will get over it
