Because I felt like it and I never got to be the rebellious wild child in high school because of this damn cult.
Yeh! Shoot yourself in the foot that'll teach em
today at school, i was drunk and there was this woman that went to my mom's kingdom hall.
she got pissed that i referred to her religion as a "church'.
she then tried telling me that i should be at the kingdom hall so i can get "better".

"... and they will certainly build houses and have occupancy; and they will certainly plant vineyards and eat [their' fruitage.
they will not build and someone else have occupancy; they will not plant and someone else do the eating.
" - isaiah 65:21, 22a.
He actually went so far as to intimate that those whose hope is "earthly" are, in fact, in a much better position than those whose hope is "heavenly" and used these verses to give an example of what those whose hope is "earthly" would be doing (i.e, something, as opposed, I guess, to nothing, which is what he intimated those with a "heavenly" hope would be doing).
Re heaven It is not a question of what you will be doing (ie: what's in it for me mentality of the witnesses) but rather whom you are with A God who loves Its about relationship it matters little what the surroundings are though you can be sure knowing God what we experience in heaven will far surpass anything we can imagine or have experienced here on earth.
the wt would have us believe that worldly people admire and respect witnesses for their fine conduct.
not my experience when i left and sought candid expressions of what they really thought about the witnesses i found for the most part rather than admire them they think they are a little weird that there is something wrong with them.
those that do have a personal experience to relate tell of the negative effect the religion had on a family member that got involved with them.

Yet there was no hatred when relating theses stories more one of confusion ( how could this happen) and hurt. What did you learn of public opinion re the witnesses?
so, i go to my jw uncle's funeral for obvious reasons!
after the funeral my family invites me to dinner, something we haven't done for some time (probably 8 years or so) as i'm considered disassociated not disfellowshipped.
i guess this is allowed per the new jw policy but since that crap changes from time to time i'm not sure.
I told her that she may think of me as "spiritually dead"
Dawg if the WT had secular power apostates would be literaly dead ;killed And guess who would be the ones casting the first stones?
Come the revolution we will storm Brooklyn Heights hang the GB ( so called faithful and discreet slave} And leave there bodies dangling from Brooklyn bridge with a copy of the WT on their chests. Then we will start the reprograming and maybe win back our loved ones.
If your thinking that is unjust don't fret the GB will be given a closed room judicial committee hearing first. And the punishment no worse than what they preach for the rest of humaity
geeze, the memorial to remember your place in the organization jesus christ is next tueday i think.......anyone else getting roped into going besides me?
i'm trying to talk my brother into going....just so i'm not the only slacker there.
i know whats going to happen.
Last time I went was disfellowshipped and sitting next to my son who was 12 at the time. They didn't even hand me the emblems to pass on. My son said " it really is a passover for you Dad" Clever kid now a physchologist and throughly cult proof.
i have a friend that has left the witnesses but the mindset is still in his head.
it affects the way he views life and his future the years he has left.like the world is so bad he can't find a place for himself in it a future to invest in.
he is thinking of going back to them they offer the only solution that he can relate to wipe it out ( harmageddon ) and start again its like he needs reprogramming to enjoy life
He needs reprogramming alright...
Yes Dawg But his reprogramming is not so easy ( is it ever ) when you consider the heavy investment he made when his teenage daughter died refusing blood http://www.ajwrb.org/victims/moreIOANNIDES.html

just visited my 80 year old mother who rarely goes witnessing.
noticed a pile of tracts for the memorial she has been given to distribute.
50 houses is a lot for an old lady you'd think jehovah's organization would cut her some slack.
I'll have one. In fact, since there are five in my family, we'll have one each, (if it's not cheating, that is). I'll put them all in the recycling bin our local council has kindly provided. I've always been interested in caring for the environment. ;)
Good one 5 for the recycle bin on behalf of alfafemale. I totally respect your concern for the environment

Yes, there is a mass tract campaign to invite people to the memorial.
I know what I am pissed off about is expecting an 80 year old woman to distribute 50 of them
