Freedom of religion is not absolute if it can be proved harmful to an indiviual and or society (which this can) than it can be banned so say the supreme court. This is the reason cannibal religions can't take root here in the west, or why Mormons can't practice polygamy.

The hall I left had two spanish languages and one english in the hall. This hall has three to one and the english is looking more and more like it will be moved to another mainly english hall and merged. So yeah without spanish imigrants there would be no growth period in the USA.

Does faith excuse serious problems with the bible?

Noah's Ark and the flood

1. god destroyed the entire earth because man was evil - yet right after he destroyed them for being evil he said that he will never destroy all of manking again because the are evil.... 2. god asked noah to bring two of every kind on the ark.
then he gets off the ark and sacrifices some of these animals.

The more time I spend with "worldly people" the more I realize...
by confusedandalone in... that they actually have more of a desire to get to knoww you then jehovah's witnesses.
for years at the kingdom hall although i was an elder everyone "knew of me" but no one knew me.
i realized that i never really had a friend who knew anything about me as a person or my background.

TJ - If Adam and Eve did not exist, what is the need of the redemption of Jesus ( according to the Scriptures )?
TJ you are assuming Jesus was sent here to redeem sin. He might of been sent to point out sin never existed in the first place. Christian leaders needed something to control reenterduced sin years after his death saying Jesus got rid of sin and then concocted the whole mess up about original sin. Which explains why Jews know/knew nothing of original sin despite being the religion christianity was based on. According to the Jewish tradtion you are not born into sin from Adam that comes later in life. Jews believe a man can be upright and not sin if he so chooses just no one has. That is probally where the whole sinless Jesus thing got started BTW. Some old church teachings state becuase Jesus was blameless he was adopted as a son by god not being so until his baptism and then given the Kingship of David and he was not in heaven before his birth nor was his mother a virgin. That stuff was added later to impress the Greeks.

Yeah, I hit my low point again not that long ago. When you hit it you have to get help money be damned. For you lurkers out there stay the hell away from any elders console. Which will always be wait and pray and go out in more service or join the RBC. That advice is not going to help, it will make things much worse, go get real help from someone with a degree. BTW some work for free find them they aren't that hard to find.

Bitter apostates
by Laika inwitnesses often go on about apostates being spiteful and bitter.
when you get cut off, shunned, or threatened with shunning just for the audacity of thinking differently, it's not surprising that getting angry at the witnesses is the reaction - it's like a self fulfilling prophecy.. but also, i recently posted an email from a 'friend' on this board who told me that everyone he'd spoken to about me said i had changed, become like another person.
it didn't occur to him that the day before i told my parents i'd quit the religion just 3 weeks ago, i met him for lunch, we had a good time and he didn't know anything was up.
