Are major earthquakes on the increase??

of this total, 27, or 43 percent, have struck since 1914. the book terranonfirma, by professors gere and shah, has a list covering a longer period.

of the total significant earthquakes in that list, 54 percent have taken place since 1914. even granting that records from past centuries are incomplete, we cannot escape the conclusion that in our time mankind has been greatly affected by earthquakes.. does anyone have access to the the newencyclopdiabritannica (1987) or info that would either support or refute the above allegations.. .

Religions like the JWs selectively choose scripture as a plausible means of exploation as an effort toward their own notoriety self empowerment

as well for some like the WTS. to gain financially. The WTS. shows clearly that you can form a publishing business around an orchestrated

and supporting religion and create an illusion that its not a business operating behind a carefully disguised curtain of religious virtuosity.

The WTS. had to attract the publics attention to its published works, its just that it did so in a very deliberately dishonest way to achieve

those goals.

today i added a new article to my blog addressing a statement of cherished belief held by the former head of watchtowers medical department.

dr. dixons view was published in the new york state journal of medicine in year 1988, and i agree with his cherished belief.

Eventually the penalties will be further watered down and any stand on blood will become purely a conscience matter . . . and of course, the WTS will maintain it always was.

But isn't that kind of saying that we (WTS.), who have been selectively chosen and are being guided by god as his earthly organization made

a doctrinal mistake enforcing this doctrine onto people and those who may have unfortunately died, martyred themselves wrongly ?

Wouldn't that make the WTS. and its supposedly spiritually guided leaders guilty of blood guilt ?

If this eventually happens you can expect most of these people will choose to take a BT, based upon the WTS. stance well we just aren't sure

anymore. Are people really that stupid in realizing how many people have died because of this policy/doctrine ?

Then again this is religion what we are talking about anything is possible.

Too bad fear mongering charlatans who own and operate a religious publishing house and other End Times Adventists don't accurately read

and interpret the bible with pure honesty and integrity. They have a way of adulterating the bible Scriptures for their exploitive means.

But still the WTS. has been like a typical false prophet and profiter $$$ that the bible shows viable calculable dates for this event.

No wonder why many religions frown and dissuade people from reading and studying the bible on themselves.

I've always maintained those at the top realized this about 20 years ago and the doctrinal changes since are all part of a long-term tactical withdrawal from the doctrine . . . that's why it makes even less sense now. It has to be gradual for two very obvious reasons . . . membership attrition and legal liability.

Hopefully it will, for the sake of people who are still associated with this religion.

Will it ever come to a complete withdraw though ?

It has been documented even by the WTS. themselves that people including children died as a result of being faithfully obedient to this doctrine.

That sure doesn't look good on a resume for a religion to be a cause of people being persuaded to self committed toward their own death.

To be totally honest stillin, being that the BT policy with the WTS. has changed so many times it does get somewhat confusing,

Interesting allegory when applied with the creation of man and what purpose the creator (God) had for mankind.

Objectively more interesting when its realized that religion (man himself) has the sole copyrights to the software

programing and not the original creator.

Just a point that I think is worth mentioning, is that the WTS. came up with its anti-blood transfusion policy/doctrine, right about the same time

they stated that god dwells on the star Alcyone in the Pleiades constellation. (1945)

This shows how sharply acute the WTS. is when it comes to biblical theological comprehension.

Unfortunately it was a blundering mistake that cost thousands of lives, since the commandment was focused upon the eating consumption of blood,

just as it still is today by Orthodox Jews.

The respectful sacredness of blood could still have been retained by the transfusion of blood from one and another in an attempt

to save a person's life and would fall in line with Jesus's direction of his followers to love one another.

To give evidence to the WTS. own acknowledgment of this blunder, they've now stated that its OK to take all fractions of blood separately

and if one was to take a complete blood transfusion, that they would only label them DA and not completely disfellowshiped.

What does the Bible really say about abortion?

during the current election campaigns for president in the united states, women's health care and reproductive rights have been targeted by conservative candidates in an effort to appeal to evangelicals and religious extremists.

keeping in mind that in the u.s. a pregnancy can be legally terminated as long as the embryo or fetus is not considered potentially viable (not able to survive on its own or with artificial aid) outside the womb, what does the bible say about abortion?

are the arguments of jehovah's witnesses and other religious fundamentalists sound in this regard?.

Why would people living in a Society literally thousands of years removed from Bible times want to consult such a book to determine

what is the best course of action in a life or death situation? Good point Terry

This is my exact sentiments I've tried to express on this forum many times.

The futility of trying to emulate the " identical " social moral standards established by a ancient civilization that existed thousands of years ago,

is bound to discernibility backward, unjust and impractical toward people who would try and govern themselves in are modern era.

Personally I think the way that most modernized countries have approached this issue is correct, giving to all relevant circumstances.
